Position Summary:

 

Join us as a Sr. Data Scientist, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our data science initiatives and influence architecture. In this dynamic position, you will use your data science expertise to create and deploy machine learning models and provide tool and architectural recommendations to Nestle’s data science environment to facilitate seamless deployment. Your mission will be to deliver innovative data science solutions that foster profitable growth. Utilizing your deep understanding of the business and data science, you will also bring forth suggestions for all tool best practices and technical standards that improve the practical experiences of data scientists.   • Develop, evaluate, and deploy data science solutions using machine learning to enhance operational decision-making in commercial analytics, including sales, marketing, and eCommerce.
  • Implement machine learning predictive models as well as causal inference regression models across diverse business use cases, integrating the latest data science advancements into Nestlé USA’s solutions.
  • Serve as a liaison between Analytics and IT teams to define best practices, standards, and tooling improvements within complex, enterprise cloud computing environments, with the goal of empowering data scientists and improving efficiency.
  • Collaborate with IT to implement updated processes, omit onerous barriers to data access through streamlined security protocols, and ensure cloud infrastructure/resources for data governance and machine learning is up to date with industry standards
  • Create and maintain Azure DataFactory pipelines, Databricks jobs/tasks, CICD pipelines, internal package deployment/installation, and other ML-related workflows at Nestle USA
  • Dive into business challenges and translate them into mathematical models with actionable results that drive business value.
  • Act as an internal consultant to engage with stakeholders, including business functions, to define problems, gather requirements, convert them into technical specifications for initiatives and deliver advanced analytics solutions to address requirements and drive business value.
  • Analyze results, draw conclusions, and present findings with actionable recommendations to cross-functional teams and leadership.
  • Execute AI and next-generation solutions, facilitating rapid piloting to meet business needs.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a similar field
  • 4+ years of hands-on data science experience developing and deploying machine learning models and algorithms to address business priorities
  • 2+ years of experience developing with Python/PySpark to automate tasks, manipulate data, and build production-level data science solutions
  • 2+ years of experience working in MLOPs and cloud computing environments, using data science expertise to drive standards and best practices for deploying, monitoring, and maintaining solutions, Azure Databricks preferred  
  • 2+ years of experience working in MLOPs and cloud computing environments, creating resources, maneuvering security requirements, and updating processes to leverage latest tooling
  • 2+ years of experience driving improvements to data science tooling within a matrixed organization to improve data science efficiencies

 

The approximate pay range for this position is $140,000.00 to $160,000.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
