Position Snapshot

Position Summary

The Senior Paralegal will be part of the Nestlé Nutrition legal department and will be an integral member of the Nestlé Nutrition legal team. The Legal & Compliance Paralegal will support the company’s legal and compliance function, specifically including responsibilities such as drafting contracts based on templates, reviewing statements of work and third party contracts, managing contract signing and filing, maintaining corporate compliance policies, monitoring completion of compliance training, reporting on designated compliance requirements, and other legal and compliance priorities as the need arises.
                        
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide support across a wide range of legal matters and subjects
• Update and maintain marketing playbooks and guidelines based on company policy and applicable laws, rules, and regulatory guidance
• Research legal and business issues, and provide timely responses to questions from internal business clients regarding internal processes, form agreements, and policies
• Draft and negotiate simple agreements and documents, including confidentiality agreements, amendments, and statements of work
• Develop, implement, and execute new internal tools and methods for streamlining existing processes to drive greater internal efficiencies for legal and business teams
Compliance Responsibilities
• Tracking completion of compliance training and sending out reminders until training is completed by 100% of assigned employees
• Providing administrative support to the Director of Corporate Compliance in the processing of approvals for promotional sponsorships, grants, charitable contributions, etc., and maintaining documentation of such requests and approvals for audit purposes and tracking of same for aggregate spend reporting
Legal Function Responsibilities
• Creating initial draft contracts based on existing templates, including confidentiality/non-disclosure, master service, healthcare provider, R&D, and limited license agreements.
• Reviewing statements of work related to a signed Master Agreement
• Reviewing trade show/exhibitor contracts
• Maintain Legal & Compliance intranet page
• Maintain Legal & Compliance policies on Intelex
• Assist with DocuSign implementation
REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Paralegal certificate preferred
EXPERIENCE
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience in a corporate legal department or law firm
SKILLS
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills 
• Developed organizational skills, including ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects and/or competing priorities and tasks and drive them to conclusion
• Strong project management skills
• Able to foster a collaborative environment in support of the achievement of business objectives
• Computer literacy required, including experience using Microsoft office programs with knowledge of advanced Excel functions
• Advanced problem-solving skills
• Self-starter, needs minimum oversight to complete tasks
