Position Summary

Reporting into the Head of Marketing Analytics, the Senior Digital Analyst for Social Media will leverage the power of social listening and social analytics to provide strategic recommendations to Nestle USA’s 30+ brands, senior management, agency partners and other stakeholders. They will see the stories within the data, combine with context and then create insights and strategies that drive the business forward.


The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within digital marketing and community management teams as a digital media analyst, and will be comfortable with social and web analytics. They will have a clear understanding of emerging media and their benefits to the Nestle brand, and have proven experience providing actionable insights in an easy to digest manner. They will take a lead role in the larger NUSA social analytics effort, harnessing disparate data sources and technologies to optimize community feeds and demonstrate the revenue impact of influencer and social engagement.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leverage social media listening tools to create timely research and reporting on consumer insights, marketplace trends, competitive analysis, product insights and emerging consumer tensions.  Combine findings with other digital data sources, identify strategic recommendations and deliver persuasive presentations to NUSA’s 30+ brands, consumer insights, HR, corporate communications, supply chain, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Advise and support NUSA social measurement, reporting and analytics across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. 
  • Remain abreast of emerging technologies and solutions, and be fluent in the data sets, solutions, and systems that enable advanced social analytics.
  • Partner with senior brand managers and other NUSA stakeholders to understand business objectives and hone social listening requests.  
  • Serve as the NUSA point of contact for Nestle’s larger global social media capability, including managing agency relationships, participating on global social media councils, and assisting other Nestle markets.

 

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4+ years of experience in social media listening, community management or digital analytics

 

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Understanding of the social media landscape, dynamics of community interaction, social best practices, and digital analytics tools
  • Experience using Sprinklr or similar social media listening platform to generate consumer insights
  • Experience using social media measurement and analytics across the major social platforms to drive business performance
  • Ability and patience to work with complex data across multiple sources.  Comfort with the tools and platforms used to manipulate and analyze data.
  • Strong experience in creation and presentation of compelling PowerPoint decks
  • Solid communication skills and ability to communicate data-driven findings directly to mid- and senior-level managers

 

ADDITIONAL PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • General experience in digital marketing (e.g. report generation, marketing campaign analysis, web analytics, AB testing, email performance, social media measurement, content testing, etc.)
  • Experience achieving proficiency in a range of analytics tools and data platforms used to extract and summarize data (e.g. Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Sales Force Marketing Cloud, PowerBI, etc.)
  • Proficiency using Google Analytics in particular to evaluate website performance and derive actionable insights
