Position Summary

The Web Content Specialist will deliver outstanding consumer engagement across multiple channels (with a strong emphasis on website, mobile, and eComm). You will lead efforts to improve our the overall digital experience on Gerber.com and will work closely with brand teams and our Digital strategists to build dynamic and personalized consumer experiences (PCE).  Gerber.com has been recognized as best in class by brands like Forrester. We are looking for a strategic Web Content Specialist to help us continue building and implementing our digital roadmap.

 

Primary Responsibility:

  • Provide the strategic leadership for online consumer discovery/engagement, content strategy, support and direct e-commerce vision for Gerber’s owned and operated channels.
  • Own end to end site SEO strategy and implementation, including strategic assessment of keyword research audit reports, content & technical strategy,  technical & content implementation (canonicals, XML, meta description optimization)
  • Lead improvements to customer experience on Gerber Website by executing the long-term vision and roadmap.
  • Drive implementation of key strategic digital projects, including but not limited to, interactive experiences/tools, content hubs, subscription offerings.
  • Assess end to end engagement metrics on key owned and operated digital channels and make strategic recommendations to achieve business results (website, email, new channels).
  • Collaborate with internal partners and external agencies to develop best in class experiences and leverage Gerber’s tech stack for ongoing optimization.
  • Gerber.com Maintenance: Management of ongoing content and technical maintenance. Additionally, work within site platform to implement technical SEO improvements. Use CMS tool to maintain accurate product information on the site. Lead efforts to automate currently manual processes.
  • Own end to end user experience design review process with agencies, driving agencies to develop best in class, easy experiences that consumers love.
  • Make recommendations and work with internal partners to implement site technical and content improvement.
  • Brand Team Partnership: Partner with brand team to execute brand plan and product integration across brand website and store.
  • Gerber e-commerce experience on Gerber.com: Collaborate with team to deliver business results.

 

Requirements and Minimum Education Level

  • Bachelor's Degree required (MBA a plus).
  • 4+ years experience with complex websites or e-commerce sites.  Operation experience in digital marketing, website management and CRM.
  • 2+ years SEO experience. Technical Knowledge preferred.
  • Experience managing digital agency and tech vendors.
  • Experience with Magento CMS (required).
  • Experience/knowledge of agile methodologies, working in collaboration with project managers to drive results. 
  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
