Position Summary

This position reports to the Manager, Data Strategy & Reporting and supports the US HR data strategy, data governance, and strategy around enterprise-wide reporting and dashboards.  The Data Strategy & Reporting teams' mission is to design and lead a portfolio of initiatives and policies to strengthen HR practices and processes in intaking accurate HR data, auditing data across core tools and processes, identifying and improving data management capability, driving localized data automation, accelerating digitization and maturing a data policy governance, and consultancy approach. The team will streamline and simplify data extraction out of the system and execute robust reporting and dashboard capabilities that tie to strategic priorities, decision making, and direction.
 
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Convert conversations with HR partners into user-friendly data tools that are accessible to technical and non-technical audiences.  
  • Build, create and maintain reports and dashboards to identify macro and micro trends, data modeling and historical data views with the use of SAP Business Objects, PowerBI and advanced business intelligence techniques. 
  • Develop and implement practices that assure when policy, process and systems change that associated data audits, business rules and support processes are modified to adapt.
  • Create, assist with and/or manage project plans, track progress, report status, and manage project to completion, including design and implementation of required communications and training
  • Work to revise data/metric collection methods to improve data accuracy and relevance and participate in the development of new data sources and collection methods.
  • Serve as a Market HR data expert on HR data systems including but not limited to SAP, SuccessFactors, Kronos etc. 
  • Fill complex ad hoc reporting requests received in order to support the HR Function, as needed. 

 

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Analytics (or related field) is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of HR including service, support and technical inquiries is required.
  • Ability to handle highly confidential HR information in professional manner

 

EXPERIENCE:

 

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience working as an analyst or in a similar position in a relevant functional area strongly preferred. Prior knowledge of handling HR data is also strongly preferred.
  • Experience in Power BI or SAP Business Objects WEBi is preferred.
  • Experience in language/programming: SQL and DAX is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word).
  • Knowledge of SharePoint solutions is very helpful.
  • Knowledge of R, Shiny, Python is strongly preferred.


SKILLS:

 

  • Proven ability to work with a variety of computer systems (SAP, Microsoft suite, HRIS)
  • Strong technical competency and ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
  • Excellent analytics ability with a focus on analyzing, interpreting, and extracting insights from large amounts of data, and developing recommendations & improvement opportunities
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively address all levels within the organization
  • Team player with the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong initiative to identify and implement process improvements
