Position Summary
The primary responsibilities of this position are to support the acceleration the Infant Nutrition portfolio on all of the e-commerce retailers, with a heavy emphasis on the Amazon platform. The analyst will develop insights, reporting, and ongoing analytics for these critical growth customers and for internal leadership reporting. Job functions would also include a full spectrum of data analysis, consumer and category insights, assortment, and merchandising recommendations for both physical and virtual shelf, using category management principles to exceed division’s Organic Growth, Volume, profit, share targets, and assigned customer/channel specific goals. Success in the role is defined as a category and customer expert to the internal CCSD Team and assigned customers/channels. The position is responsible for supporting the Nestlé Nutrition portfolio.
You will:
- Support the Customer Business Managers delivering specific objectives in each channel. Provides fact based analysis of Nestle and competitive performance, category insights and shelf and virtual shelf recommendations as the category advisor/influencer within key categories to the Customer. Support the division's innovation and renovation - during item set-up, launch, and post-launch.
- Utilize available technology (Syndicated POS/Panel, Retailer POS/Inventory, shopper data, Stackline) and other resources to track, analyze, and evaluate internal and external business trends and offer actionable insights to achieve category/aisle business growth goals. Incorporate fact-based consumer and shopper insights to provide recommendations related to the Categories and Nestlé's item assortment and merchandising.
- Specific to Amazon - support our growth across all platforms including Inventory Management support and purchase order analysis. Lead the Amazon Center of Scale project in conjunction with agency partner.
- Support customer, Customer Business Manager, and internal sharing reporting/scorecarding and insights generated.
Requirements:
- College degree
- 3+ years CPG relevant experience, Category analyst, internal or field based
- Experience working with Business Objects, PowerBi Strong working knowledge of excel
- Technical skill set including Shipment and Consumption analytics experience
- Experience working with customer specific datasets, such as Amazon's Vendor Central preferred
- Previous experience working with E-Commerce data and developing creative analytic solutions preferred
- Must be able to travel up to 15% of total time to visit markets across U.S.
