POSITION SUMMARY
This position supports the Cost Accounting Strategist in developing the project charter and ensures that it is strictly followed throughout the project.
Scope includes supporting M&A, Divestitures and developing interim Costing solutions during the TSA per the Supplier agreement.
Executes the design of the project based on Nestlé Accounting and Costing standards, ensures all the E2E meet the costing standard routines.
• Work with Costing resources assigned to the project to ensure project planner is current and all Issues and Gaps are documented and resolved by the due dates
• Supports the operational start-up hyper care to ensure a smooth transition to operations
• Attend project meetings and provide costing perspective as needed to ensure alignment with Costing standards
This position gathers and interprets project information effectively and forms activities into meaningful and concise analyses while considering a broad range of interdependent issues. Identifies areas for change and makes recommendations while managing multiple demands and competing priorities.
At this level the strategist continues to develop her/his project management skills, financial and technical skills and interacts with cross-functional teams throughout the organization. The analyst exercises good judgment, stays focused on results, and ensures the project charter and project plan are proceeding as planned in a fast-paced dynamic environment. Primary goal will be to assist in ensuring that all deliverables of the project are met on time and on budget.
This position is highly service oriented and involves interaction with various Globe streams and Business Partners. This associate is a point of contact for costing-related tasks and provides guidance on other topics when called upon. Responsible for ensuring and gaps and issues are identified early and resolved on a timely basis. Responsible for planning meetings as needed with various stakeholders and proactive resolution of any open items logged
Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Planning:
• Lays out the direction of the project
• Critical path, timeline and budget necessary for success
• Guiding the project through all highs and lows of ideation, execution, and conclusion.
Leading:
• Communicate effectively with sound direction to all groups
• Take responsibility for failures as well as successes
Communicating:
• Inform the team about project changes, issues affecting the execution of deliverables, and the expectations for completing each task.
• Keeping in touch with any challenges in the way of success and understanding the desires of the project stakeholders.
• Reporting on project progress and status. This must be clearly articulated to both the team as well as the project stakeholders.
Monitoring:
• Tracks project manager tasks, identifies issues through set metrics, and mitigates risks through early issue detection
Presenting:
• Present progress reports to stakeholders to scope adjustments to their teams
Managing Time
• Monitor the progress of deliverables
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications
• BA/BS with major or minor in Accounting or Finance preferred or equivalent experience and a minimum 5 years’ related work experience
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in related Project Management, with some concentration in integration strategy
• Prior experience in Operations Finance preferred
Skills
• Strong Project management, relationship and organizational skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accounting knowledge
• Ability to convert data, interpret and analyze to make business decisions
• SAP knowledge
• Strong MS Project, Visio and Excel
• Power BI preferred
