Position Summary
The IT Innovation Lead is executing the digital innovation initiatives across Nestle USA to ensure that Nestlé delivers fit-for-purpose digital solutions proving hypotheses with external parties via prototyping and forward-looking proof of concepts that maximize return of investments. You will identify new technology and solutions for a given scope, using existing technology or new development and production methods for the IT organization. You will ensure that multiple ideas are constantly generated and tested for this scope. You will generate demand and sustain a pipe of opportunities in line with IT and Nestle USA Enterprise strategies. You are also responsible for ensuring that proven ideas can be easily and successfully industrialized by product groups. You will be looked to for inspiration and fostering an innovative and entrepreneurial culture while leveraging lean agile approaches.
Job Responsibilities
- Self-manage the product offering from idea creation, concept design, development, and launch with end-of-life planning to ensure approved revenue/cost savings targets are met.
- Build product business cases and define requirements using agile methods such as epics and user stories
- Provide subject matter expertise and conflict resolution to internal and external stakeholders
- Effective handover of product to Product and Business Owners post implementation.
- Detect new developments internal to Nestle and externally
- Quickly acquire a voice when facing something new (getting grip on fundamentals)
- Build flexible but structured plans and agendas for managing workloads while promoting goal-oriented ways of working
- Explain and stimulate different innovation methodologies to those at different hierarchal levels
- Coach mission-based resources
- Scout new technology advancements, startups, and manage pilots within a Nestlé context
- Iterate prototypes to get closer to meeting end user wants and needs
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
- 3+ years of experience within IT/Digital product development
- 1+ years of experience in change management
- 1+ years of experience in Innovation or Design Thinking (i.e. UX, BMC, VPC, LEAN/Agile, DevOps Project facilitation, startups)
- Experience in working with startups, incubators, and accelerators, generating value for your team
