Position Summary
SUMMARY
The Finance Co-Pilot PFME will be responsible for providing financial guidance and support to the Marketing and Medical team and drive spend optimization and efficiency. He/she will be a key member of the Baby Food and Formula teams and will work closely with Business Units Heads and the Director of Integrated Consumer Communications overseeing approximately $100 M in Marketing spend, inclusive of medical delegate and related expenses.
RESPONSIBILITIES
•Support marketing teams in managing PFME spend. Drive enhanced accountability across business teams to deliver financial commitments and optimize allocation of funds. Provide insight and foster a fact-based decision-making culture by utilizing the knowledge of the current business environment and specialist financial knowledge.
•Manage monthly financial performance reviews; identify risks to achievement of targets/forecasts and opportunities to fund value creating activities. Develop follow up action plans and drive ownership and accountability.
•Coordinate profit protection exercises and incremental spend allocation.
•Manage ad-hoc analyses and develop/monitor KPIs to support decision making and drive business performance
•Collaborate with the business co-pilots and marketing teams to drive return on investment (ROI) and effective spend allocation.
•Lead planning, analysis and reporting for Medical, PRC and Marketing cost centers including:
•Coordinate zero based budget (ZBB) development and updates as well as monthly reporting and expense monitoring. Drive enhanced accountability across business teams to deliver financial commitments and optimize spend.
•Support demand generation within Medical pillar, understand medical delegate cost drivers, track budget expenditures for alignment with Dynamic Forecast
•Manage all financial activities related to PFME and cost centers in scope including Budget development, Preparation of Dynamic Forecast (DF), Execution of monthly financial close, and Monitoring of internal controls and compliance.
EXPERIENCE
•Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting, reporting and budgeting experience
•Strong interpersonal / communication skills
•Ability to manage numerous tasks, work with multiple business partners and independently deliver quality results on time
•Team player with ability to work with cross functional teams and effectively collaborate across all levels and functions within an organization
•Background in SAP and Excel proficiency. Knowledge of Analysis for Office, Ariba, Smart View and Power BI is a plus
•Track record of driving efficiencies and process improvements
•Co-Pilot experience (P&L modeling background) preferred
•Experience in a CPG company preferred
