Position Summary
Project Opportunity empowers and prepares people in our communities to grow their career and thrive. As the U.S. contribution to the Global Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Initiative, Nestlé needs YOUth, Project Opportunity readies the next generation workforce across our value chain – from operations and supply, to agriculture and innovation. In this role, you will balance strategic and tactical work to research, develop, and execute creative strategies to attain Project Opportunity goals.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as a vocal advocate for next generation support, representing the organization internally and externally
- Build the business case for and implement programs such as youth apprenticeships
- Produce market-specific leadership presentations to showcase successes and increase alignment
- Develop and clearly communicate U.S. strategy and high-level plans on an ongoing basis
- Engage cross-functional team to identify needs, plan and execute programmatic efforts
- Collaborate with Corporate Communications and Recruitment Marketing to maintain narratives and tell our stories through paid and earned media
- Cultivate an alliance of public and private sector organizations to uncover leading practices and extend our impact
- Plan outreach and events, including career readiness and skill-building workshops
- Connect with program beneficiaries to identify improvement opportunities and gather human impact stories
- Identify and manage external partnerships to optimize outcomes
- Own the end-to-end U.S. reporting process of key performance indicators
REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Communications, Social Impact or another relatable field
- Ability to handle highly confidential HR information in professional manner
- Ability to travel 20%
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated working experience in ESG, Community Affairs, Human Resources, training and development or related field
- Experience successfully managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working with data and analytics to help enable decision-making
SKILLS:
- Excellent project management skills, with experience in organizing, planning, budgeting, and executing large-scale projects from vision through implementation, involving internal personnel, contractors, and vendors
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms
- Strong creative thinking skills with emphasis on developing innovative solutions to complex problems that may not have one clear answer; the ability to identify alternatives, workarounds, or temporary solutions
- Ability to work with project teams and coach team members in a matrix organization without a direct formal reporting relationship to drive for timely results and high-quality deliverables
- Flexibility and adaptability to the requirements of a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities; Ability to work on multiple projects and assignments simultaneously
