Position Summary
As the Supply Planner, you will build the production plans and schedules that reflect demand plans, production constraints, and evaluate alternatives to move forward. You will develop intermediate and long-range production plans, working closely with marketing, sales and production. You will plan inventory levels that satisfy the customer service target for product availability and that minimize production, transportation and warehousing costs. In addition, you will review weekly sales and finished goods inventory data and advise marketing and distribution colleagues of unexpected sales trends and/or inventory balances. Assist in long-range capacity studies to resolve requirements for new equipment and facilities. You will be the communication link between marketing, procurement, transportation and distribution.
- Work in SAP APO - R/3 to develop intermediate to long-term master production schedules on a weekly/monthly basis that achieve targeted service to customers and inventory levels.
- Monitor alerts to identify potential inventory problems through all planning horizons and coordinate efforts to resolve.
- Collaborate with Factory Schedulers on the tactical execution of the production program and ensure alignment of planning parameters with the factory level constrains.
- Develop and maintain production-planning models, which include Materials, resources, shift configurations, and the like.
- Create, implement and follow processes in order to be more efficient and focus on value added activities.
- Coordinate and facilitate the Weekly Demand/Supply Review meetings; act as Process Owner of this meeting to ensure the process is an integral part of the planning and control process.
- Participate in the development of integrated budgets, responsible for the alignment of demand plans, master schedules, factory schedules, and procurement programs.
REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
- Bachelors in Industrial Engineering, business, or equivalent combination of education and experience
EXPERIENCE:
- 5 years of dynamic and successful Supply Chain experience with strong and sustained performance, preferably in Supply planning or Deployment
- Proficiency in MS Excel. Familiarity with SAP APO, BW, MS Access, PowerPoint, and Word
- Strong analytical aptitude with a proven ability to analyze/interpret data and build quantitative models of business problems.
- APICS certification preferred
