Position Summary

The Manager Supply Chain Finance supports the Head of Nestlé Nutrition Supply Chain as trusted Co-Pilot. He/she ensures that the Gerber Business (NIN US) receives timely and accurate reports and insights, allowing the team to improve the financial performance with the area of  'Total Delivered Cost'. This will include four key areas:

 

  • Planning and Analysis of Supply Chain Cost (VDE, FDE, Bad Goods) and Inventory Values
  • Supporting the assessment of Cost Improvement Initiatives and trade off decisions in the area of Supply Chain and Procurement to lower cost and avoid waste
  • Process Ownership: Champion the Dynamic Forecast process within the Operations Finance Team
  • Product Costing: Ensure accurate costing of imported and transformed materials

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Planning and analysis of Supply Chain cost: Establish forecast for Distribution Cost and Bad Goods / Waste in cooperation with the market SC Finance teams (SPOC). Track actual results, analyze and explain variances, establish monthly report out. Forecast value of Raw, Pack and Finished Goods inventories.
  • Lead or support cost improvement initiatives: Identify and execute cost improvement initiatives in the Supply Chain and Procurement area to reduce inefficiencies and waste throughout the value chain. Challenge status quo and provide fact-based insights to improve business performance.
  • Procurement & Sourcing Strategies: Ensure transparency of costs and financial impacts of strategic procurement decisions. Provide analytical support for Make versus Buy decisions.
  • Process Improvement: Process champion of Dynamic Forecast Process within the Operations Finance team. Continuous improvement and simplification of key processes.
  • Product Costing: Ensure accurate costing, forecasting and variance analysis for Imported and transformed materials


EXPERIENCE:

  • College degree required; Bachelor’s in accounting/Finance or equivalent required.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Accounting/Finance. 
  • Minimum of 3 years Cost Accounting, Factory or Supply Chain Finance.
  • Strong knowledge of Globe/SAP, MS Office, Nestle systems & processes.
  • Finance management experience in Consumer Goods company/industry preferred.
  • Position will be located in the Arlington VA, Nestle Corporate Office or in one of the Nutrition Factories: Gateway- Eau Claire WI, Fremont Michigan or Ft. Smith Arkansas.

 

SKILLS:

  • Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills. Ability to break down and simplify very complex issues.
  • Ability to work cross functional with Supply Chain, Factory and Business teams.
  • Superior execution skills in a changing environment and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent inter-personal communication and the ability to influence others, negotiation skills.
  • Willingness to continuously challenge existing processes and drive/embrace change.
  • Critical thinking/ Curiosity
  • Strong Business acumen
  • Strong Excel and data management skills.
  • Experience in generating reports with actionable recommendations
  • Demonstrable experience illustrating insights from data through statistics or data visualization.
