POSITION SUMMARY:

 

Come join the Bakery Sweet Divisions in a newly created entrepreneurial team to scale Toll House Cookie Delivery – a new and exciting high-growth, on-demand DTC (direct to consumer) business model.

 

Nestle Toll House has successfully piloted a new business model in Toll House Cookie Delivery, providing on-demand access to freshly baked cookies through delivery apps like UberEats and DoorDash. We’re energized by the pilot’s success and are now building and executing a national expansion strategy.

 

In this position, you’ll be empowered as the end-to-end lead of consumer engagement (digital communications strategy), product innovation, and project leader (with PM support) to achieve our objective of #1 market share in a new category beyond traditional retail. This role provides a unique opportunity to leverage a variety of marketing skill sets across base business management, product innovation + commercialization, and consumer communications, while working with CPG expert and tech start-ups.

 

We’re seeking an action-oriented self-starter with proven marketing fundamentals, high curiosity, and a strategic mindset to help expand this exciting new DTC business model. The ideal candidate will be excited to unpack ambiguity in a high-growth space, developing action plans to meet objectives and drive for results. A strong candidate will be able to leverage analytical and story-telling skills to develop and implement fact-based recommendations.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

New Business Model Expansion (Toll House Cookie Delivery) – Own Consumer Engagement (Digital Communications), Product Innovation, and other strategic workstreams.

  • In collaboration with cross-functional and external experts, act as end-to-end lead of:
    • Consumer Engagement: Build and execute digital strategy to drive awareness, trial, app downloads and loyalty for Toll House Cookie Delivery.
    • Product Innovation: Partner with culinary experts to refine, build and commercialize our portfolio of delicious, freshly-baked Toll House Cookies and adjacent indulgent menu items.
    • Pilot Location General Manager:  In collaboration with cross-functional and external experts, act as end-to-end lead to manage business model pilot performance through idea generation and validation with live-in market performance tests across the 4Ps (product, pricing, promotion, placement).
    • Project Initiatives: Lead project initiatives with internal cross-functional groups and external agencies to ensure business model is optimized for expansion.  
  • Partner with external agencies to gather custom and syndicated data for analysis and share findings internally to develop a deeper understanding of the demographics, psychographics, and behavioral drivers of our consumers in a new occasion to inform business model expansion product innovation and consumer engagement (digital communications strategy).
  • Prepare, present and sell-in fact-based recommendations to senior management, cross-functional partners, and external stakeholders,

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field is required; MBA is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of work experience in consumer marketing with concentrated efforts in brand base management, innovation and renovation, and consumer engagement (communications).
    • Base Marketing - Proven track-record of synthesizing myriad data sources into insight, predictions, and commercial action.
    • Product Marketing (Innovation & Renovation) - experience leading and fostering collaboration with cross-functional teams and external agencies to develop and commercialize new products.
    • Consumer Engagement (Communications) Marketing – experience working with internal and agency partners to brief, develop and launch consumer marketing plans to drive awareness, trial and loyalty.
  • Strong ability to present strategies and make recommendations to senior management.
  • Entrepreneurial and action-oriented mindset—consistent demonstrating a desire to solicit feedback, embrace failure, and learn and adapt quickly.
  • Experience within the Consumer Packaged Goods Industry (CPG) preferred.
