Position Summary

This role involves identifying and implementing T-Hub specific improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing operational excellence, service, and cost efficiency while representing transportation in broader end-to-end improvement efforts. It requires an understanding of system maintenance, processes and optimization in relation to transportation strategies throughout the Freight Procurement, Planning, Execution, and Continuous Improvement processes.

Responsibilities also include optimizing the performance of system components used in transportation management, comprehending the interaction of SAP Master Data with user tools, and escalating issues to relevant support groups.

  • Process Optimalization: Delivering Savings & Service Improvement
  • Annually Updated documentation
  • System/Tool downtime

 

A day in the life of a DI&BPO

  1. Contribute to the construction of an atmosphere of continuous improvement by generating custom/ad-hoc reporting to assist in the operational reviews and identification of performance gaps
  2. Identify relevant opportunities to work on the Thub Priorities: Service, Sustainability and Cost
  3. Define, implement and ensure Best Practices across THub Procurement, Planning and Execution Teams
  4. Be responsible for NCE principles to identify problems and implement corrective actions to improve performance
  5. Collaborate with Supply Chain teams (beyond Thub) to achieve expected Service, Sustainability and Cost targets
  6. Configure and ensure both internal SAP data and 3rd party tools are in alignment with business policies and objectives to support operational excellence
  7. Perform proactive system health checks targeting erroneous data and wasteful system processing scripts to ensure consistent and predictable system performance
  8. Coordinate with transportation partners with the configuration and maintenance of route guides, rates, accessorial packages, transit timing, means of transport and vehicle types, planning profiles, and user variants

  • Understanding of transportation/ supply chain theory and of Nestlé Supply chain strategy and OMP
  • Expert-level understanding of transportation inputs (O2C, P2E, S2P)
  • NCE Principles/ Operational Roadmap
  • SAP TM and interactions with upstream SAP functions
  • Knowledge of THUB processes and personas
  • Expert-level understanding of transportation objectives and day-to-day processes
  • Project management expertise
  • SAP and Nestlé bolt-on tool data architecture.  Systematic health checks
  • Planning Optimization tools (Cockpit, Payload optimizer, SOOC, APO optimization)
