Under the supervision and guidance of her/his primary Community of Practice Lead and Product Group Manager based in Switzerland, Milan, Barcelona and Sydney the Junior Infrastructure Technology Specialist is responsible for sustain, deployment, retirement and leverage for a product or a platform. 

The Junior Infrastructure Technology Specialist for the effective and efficient operational support of the aligned products. S/He is also responsible for operational service management processes to ensure quality, efficiency, productivity, and agility goals are achieved. May also coordinate activities of Specialists and Jr Specialists or cross streams when involved in projects.

 

A day in the life of a Junior Operations Specialist Batch:
Reporting to the Regional Platform Manager for Datacenter and Cloud, responsibilities of this role include:

•    Creates a structured project, implementing IT agile project methodologies.
•    Under the supervision and guidance of her/his primary Product Owner/Lead and Product Group Manager, the Junior Infrastructure Technology Specialist is responsible for sustain, deployment, retirement and leverage for a product or a platform. Also responsible for the effective and efficient Infrastructure support of the aligned products. S/He is also responsible for operational service management processes to ensure quality, efficiency, productivity, and agility goals are achieved. 
•    Ensures the delivery of efficient and secure IT operations, supports IT systems that fulfil the needs of the business, and provides input to the development team and tech lead as well as to peers responsible for other aspects of operations.
•    Oversees the support processes that include incident, problem, change, configuration, and event management.
•    Project monitored and controlled, risks managed: manages the day-to-day activities of cross-functional project teams and ensures the adherence to the project plan.
•    Identifies and mitigates project risk, keeping issues visible, to avoid impacting the project’s success.
•    Ensures IT strategic service partners provide the required level of service, system performance and functionality required to meet business commitments.
•    Supports the implementation and management of quality and efficiency improvements of IT service delivery, to drive value and support.
•    Supports market & project testing; supports specification, configuration & sustain activities and utilizes 3rd party services as directed.
•    Participates in the assessment of external and internal technology capabilities with a focus on suitability for integration with the existing IT operations environment.
•    Runs small-scale projects (managed work activities) for the deployment of functionalities.
•    Works with product or platform teams to ensure good coordination of IT changes without impacting business processes.
•    Works with supplier teams to ensure good coordination of product changes without impacting IT Consumers and business processes.
•    Responsible for operational compliance of all technology-related issues across IT including information security, privacy, business continuity, identity management, user access and data integrity
•    RAID (Risk, Action, Issue, Decision) Log is established, monitored, and maintained.
•    Readiness Assessments as appropriate are conducted on a timely basis with business/IT signoffs.


What will make you successful?
•    Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science or information technology, work experience more than 8 years in Tivoli Workload scheduler admin or design part or IWS.
•    Experience with SAP ECC or S4HANA also knowledge with TWS / IWS would be an asset.
•    Experience with migrating huge no of batch jobs from one SAP technology to higher version of SAP HANA. 
•    Experience with migrating 2 million of batch jobs from one TWS IWS technology to different scheduling tool available in market. 
•    Demonstrated experience in TWS, IWS systems services (i.e., unplanned intervention) restoring the services back to normal, ensure TWS processes stable and batch jobs working as excepted.
•    The holder possesses specialized knowledge & excellent scripting skills in one or more technology areas within team scope and task forces comprising resource from internal and external partners to achieve results. 
•    Strong experience as an IT Operations Specialist in a large-size enterprise class IT environment with Linux/Unix/ IWS administration and IWS backup & recovery infrastructure (Solution Implementation and Operations with 8+ years). 
•    Operational experience working on complex cross-stream problems with multiple mixed Vendor technologies.
•    Experience in script enhancement testing, deploy and execution.
•    Strong knowledge in Vendor Management Practices and Vendor delivery challenges with different vendors.
•    Demonstrated experience in establishing standard processes and managing performance to achieve key metrics.
•    Experience working in a global environment and with virtual teams.
•    Efficiently able to manage & communicate to stakeholders during Crisis/Critical incidents as major incident owner.
•    Effective communication and presentation skills are vital as you develop working partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, such as service integrators, service provides and vendors across the globe (face-to-face and remote)
•    Agile project management experience would be an asset.
•    Experience with End-to-End mindset ownership & driving proactive approach to ensuring successful project deliverable.
•    Ability to strategically integrate across multiple functions within IT and/or the Business to effectively drive Discovery through to Design and execution of the program/project through to successful delivery.
•    Effective English communication skills (written and verbal) to appropriately and clearly articulate status and concerns at all levels in the organization--with senior leaders through to project team members and third-party service/solution providers.
•    Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously and with experience to dynamically prioritize and re-prioritize work for her/himself and the program/project team as appropriate.
•    Experience working in a matrix organization in a global environment with virtual teams including external partners.
•    Development of influencing skills and ability to leverage in interactions at all levels of the matrix organization to ensure project execution moves forward towards successful delivery.
•    Experience in managing change/transitions and change impacts.
•    With stakeholders based in various time zones, flexibility is essential as you participate in teleconferences and activities outside of standard business hours.
