In order to complete our IT Platforms Department, we are currently looking for an IS/IT Technology Specialist – ServiceNow Master Data

You will provide knowledge, consultancy and advisory within the data services team with respect to ServiceNow Service support model (SSM), Configuration items and Master data you will also actively participate in the development and promotion of the technology which supports the business requirements within your area of expertise. Your responsibilities include also to be accountable for supervising the realization of specific deliverables in relation to IT development and/or to lead the technical activity within your area of specialism

A day in the life of...
  • Provide deep specialist consultancy and support on data setup, modelling and maintenance for SSM, CMDB and other master data related areas inside ServiceNow.
  • Ensure the data integration consistency across all the connected services and interfaces.
  • Support the technical activity (design, build, testing) in a significant or complex Innovation initiatives, accountable for the delivery and quality of technical deliverables
  • Make recommendations on how to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of data management processes through use of (emerging) technology and technical methods and methodologies.
  • Participate in the development of and/or review of documentation and methods of working in the relevant area of expertise.
  • Consider a broad range of options and applies sound judgment to develop solutions and procedures to improve the data quality across the platform
  • Responsible for ensuring that all solutions within their technology area are delivered and maintained secure and compliant with internal standards and external regulations.
  • Participate in peer reviews of deliverables and carry out formal and informal reviews of technical designs, standards, documentation and/or implementations.
  • Work with IS/IT Innovation managers, Product managers, Tech Leads, Solution Architects and Business Analysts as required to ensure any solution within their specific specialism fits with strategic and technical direction.
  • Assist others in resolving complex technical problems and investigating the root cause of problems and recommend smart (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, timely) solutions
  • Liaise closely with suppliers and vendors, for example where third-party work or packages involve significant functional, technical, process, data or integration decisions.
     
What will make you successful
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, system analysis or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience data related positions
  • Deep understanding of Service modeling, CI and relations, and organizational support models
  • Proven track record of structured problem-solving experience, based on data analysis
  • Experience of resolving technical issues, including those involving 3rd parties
  • Preferably certification in ITIL
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow is a must
  • Knowledge of Asset management is an added value
  • Excellence in analytics and data management
  • Understanding and knowledge of system development life cycle methodologies (such as agile software development, rapid prototyping and DevOps, project management principles).
  • Understanding and knowledge of IS/IT standards and controls.
  • Excellent analytical and technical skills.
  • Experience with effective communication at different levels in the organization and in English.
  • Experience working in a global environment and with virtual teams
