Position Snapshot

  • Nestlé Purina Commerciale in Italy, Milan HQ
  • Pet-friendly workplace
  • Undergraduates or graduates in Management engineering or equivalent. Theoretical knowledge (university level) about Planning and key DSP, Supply Chain processes, objectives and methodologies (Short work experience in Supply Chain/Operations is a plus)
  • Nestlé welcomes people with disability
  • Full-time internship (6 months)
  • We offer a monthly allowance of €900, free access to the company canteen, free access to a partner gym near the office and a company laptop

Position Summary

The resource will work in the Demand & Supply Planning team Purina organization as support for task related to Supply and Demand planning, in a dynamic environment, taking opportunity to make experience on different scenarios and being involved in improvement initiatives.


Main activities:

  • Support Supply planning team in order to guarantee the best optimization of cover;
  • Stock management between different overflow warehouses;
  • Monitor and manage risk of bad goods and out of stock;
  • Collaborate with Warehouse, DSP and Customer Service teams to ensure  product availability;
  • Monitor the achievement of KPIs based on agreed target (service, cover, inventory etc.);

 

A day in the life of...

  • Utilize our tools (SAP R/3, SAP APO, …) to run analysis and checks related to supply planning from Coman and intermarket factories
  • Be cost and service level driven
  • Monitor the achievement of KPIs based on agreed timings
  • Ensure a strong connection with Warehouse, Demand planning and Customer Service
  • Collaborate with Continuous Improvement team in order to increase our operational performance
  • Challenge yourself to improve your job and develop new skills

  • Marketing, GF forecaster
     
     

What will make you successful

  • Management engineering degree or equivalent
  • Short experience in Supply Chain/Operations
  • Good knowledge of Excel, Power bi (SAP is a plus)
  • Strong communication and relational skills
  • Collaborate proactively with innovative and constructive approach
  • Mental agility, insight, analysis and synthesis
  • Fluent English and Italian

An introductory conversation focused on your motivations, academic experiences, and interest in Supply Chain, Planning and Operations. We will explore your analytical mindset, problem-solving approach and willingness to learn in a dynamic and international environment.

 

Step 2:

Meeting with the Business (Reference Tutor / Line Manager) → Supply Chain & Planning Discussion

A conversation with the hiring manager aimed at understanding your interest in Demand & Supply Planning, analytical skills and ability to work with data. You may be asked to discuss academic projects or experiences related to planning, operations, logistics, inventory management or process improvement.

 

Step 3:

Feedback

You will receive feedback at the end of the selection process, regardless of the outcome.
