  • Permanent contract  
  • Full-time in the Milan HQ with some flexibility to work remotely  
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience 
  • 5+ years experience in IT solution disciplines including software development/configuration and content/knowledge management 
  • 3+ years experience as ServiceNow solution consultant, with relevant expertise and experience (with strong focus on the Service Portal and Knowledge Management modules) 
  • Certified on and/or deep expertise working with ServiceNow, in particular ServiceNow Portals and Knowledge Management modules 
  • Experience working on agile software implementation projects 
  • Effective English communication 

Position Summary

Are you a talented IS/IT Technology Specialist ready to join our Workforce 360 Collaboration, Content and Portal Services team in Milan, Italy? We need you to guide and promote optimal use of technology within the Content and Portal product team supporting business requirements. You will be accountable for specific deliverables in relation to development and support (e.g. preliminary studies, setting technological directions). 

A day in the life of Technology Specialist Service Now for Content and Portal Services

  • Provides specialist consultancy, guidance and support in specific technology based on subject expertise and functional requirements 
  • Provides recommendations on how to improve the effectiveness, efficiency and delivery of services through the use of technology 
  • Understands technology trends and the practical application of existing, new and emerging technologies to enable new and evolving business and operating models 
  • Assists with designing the governance, assurance and standards activities associated with ensuring enterprise technology architecture compliance and strategy 
  • Liaises closely with internal teams and suppliers, defining significant functional and process integration decisions 

What will make you successful

  • Experience defining and implementing ServiceNow Service Portals and Knowledge Management solutions including development of best practices, information architecture, governance models and successful solution adoption strategies 
  • Experience designing ServiceNow Service Portals and Knowledge Management solutions for other business functions that not IT (e.g. HR) is a plus 
  • Strong Understanding of Agile/DevOps methods and processes with proven ability to participate in Agile project teams by providing advice and guidance on opportunities, impact, and risks. 
  • Exposure to UX best practices is a plus 
  • Experience working in and/or managing advisory councils, industry user groups, and key technology partners (vendors, Account Managers, Product Managers, Lab advocates and Executives) 
  • Strong Understanding of technology trends and leading industry analysts (Gartner, Forrester) as well as the practical application of existing, new and emerging technologies to support new and evolving business models 
  • Experience with working in a global environment with virtual teams 
  • Experience with effective communication at different levels in the organization  
  • Adaptable, flexible and dynamic while keeping a client-centric approach
