Position Summary
We are looking for a curious and motivated Demand & Supply Planning Intern to join our Supply Chain team. In this internship, you will support the Demand & Supply Planners in activities related to forecasting, supply coordination, and product availability. This experience will give you the opportunity to understand how to manage inventory levels, contribute to cross-functional projects, and gain insight into the key dynamics of a modern supply chain.
A day in the life of a Demand & Supply Planner Intern
- Support the team in maintaining and updating demand forecasts based on historical data and market input.
- Assist in translating demand data into supply needs by preparing reports and analyses.
- Help monitor supply chain KPIs such as forecast accuracy, service level, and inventory performance.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and logistics teams to collect input and align information.
- Contribute to inventory tracking and replenishment monitoring across the distribution network.
- Participate in the preparation of materials for the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings.
- Work with planning tools and Excel files to update databases and support decision-making processes.
- Learn to identify potential supply issues and propose preliminary ideas for improvement.
What will make you successful?
- Undergraduates or graduates in Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, or related fields
- Strong analytical skills combined with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Proactive attitude and willingness to learn in a dynamic environment
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
- Fluent in both Italian and English
