Position Summary
We are looking for a talented intern to join the Finance team of Nestlé Waters & Premium Beverages Italy, focusing on sales controlling.
In this role, you will support the analysis of commercial performance and profitability, contributing to key business decisions while gaining hands-on experience in reporting, planning, and variance analysis within a leading FMCG company.
You will work in a structured and international environment, with dedicated mentoring and strong exposure to cross-functional teams, developing your analytical, business, and problem-solving skills in a dynamic and results-driven context.
A day in the life of...
- Contribute to the preparation and analysis of sales reporting, gaining insights into volumes, revenues, and margins
- Monitor business performance across channels, customers, and product categories, identifying relevant trends
- Take part in monthly closing activities (actuals), supporting the accuracy and reliability of financial data
- Support planning cycles, including budget and forecast, contributing to the overall financial roadmap
- Analyze variances vs. budget/forecast, highlighting key drivers and areas of improvement
- Work closely with the Sales team to track promotions and commercial investments
- Perform pricing and profitability analyses to support informed business decisions
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of dashboards and reporting tools (Excel, Power BI)
What will make you successful
- Degree (or in progress) in Economics, Finance, Management Engineering, or related fields
- Excellent knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis)
- Good command of the English language
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
- Proactive attitude, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Good interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Interest in sales and finance roles within FMCG environments
- Academic or project experience in controlling and/or data analysis is considered a plus
- Knowledge of Power BI or other data visualization tools is a plus
- Familiarity with accounting principles and P&L concepts is a plus

Together with the Manager, you’ll dive deeper into the Sales Controlling role and business context, working on a case study focused on financial and commercial data analysis. This step is designed to assess your analytical thinking, curiosity, and result-driven mindset, as well as your ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable business insights.
