Position Summary

Are you a talented Technology Expert – VDI ready to join our Workforce 360 Devices team in Milan, Italy?
We need you to guide and promote optimal use of technology within the Workforce Devices Product team while supporting business requirements for the Virtualization/VDI area. You will be accountable for specific deliverables in relation to development and support (e.g. preliminary studies, setting the direction for technology evolution).

A day in the life of Technology Expert VDI/Citrix

Provide specialist consultancy, guidance and end to end support in specific technology based on subject expertise
Provide recommendations on how to improve the effectiveness, efficiency and delivery of services through the use of technology
Understand technology trends and the practical application of existing, new and emerging technologies to enable new and evolving business and operating models
Assist with designing the governance, assurance and standards activities associated with ensuring enterprise technology architecture compliance
Liaise closely with suppliers and the Product Manager, defining significant functional, technical and process integration decisions

What will make you successful

Bachelor's degree in computer science, system analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in IS/IT, preferably in a large multinational and with virtual teams, with at least 3 years of experience working in a Citrix environent and designing / implementing / administrating enterprise Windows/Citrix XenApp\XenDesktop environments (5.0 and above)
Expert knowledge of Citrix XenApp\XenDesktop, MS Active Directory and OS technologies
Strong knowledge on profile management best practices and technologies
Good knowledge of Windows Active Directory Domains integration and interaction with the network, Group Policy, Anti-Virus applications, DHCP, DNS, and WINS
Experience working with advisory councils, industry user groups, and key technology partners (vendors, Account Managers, Product Managers, Lab advocates and Executives)
Experience with Cloud Solutions is a plus
Understanding and knowledge of IS/IT standards and controls
Strong Understanding of Agile/DevOps methods and processes with proven ability to participate in Agile project teams by providing advice and guidance on opportunities, impact, and risks
Excellent analytical skills, technicaly knowledgable and open minded
Experience with effective communication at different levels in the organization in English
