European Pizza Group (E.P.G.) is a Joint Venture between the biggest Food company worldwide, Nestlé, and Equity Fund PAI partners. The JV was created in September 2023 with the objective to provide the best environment to develop the frozen Pizza business, creating a fully focused, standalone, agile and resource backed player to succeed in this competitive arena. EPG is present in Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, France, Benelux and Austria through 2 leading brands:  Wagner and Buitoni.

 

Position Snapshot
•    EPG Italy, Assago (Milan) Headquarter. Availability to frequent domestic and some international business travels is required.
•    Permanent contract
•    Business Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
•    At least 6 years of experience in Trade Marketing/Sales and Marketing roles (both are a must have)
•    Fluency in Italian and English 


Position Summary
Reporting to the Marketing and Trade Marketing Manager Italy, with a ratio of 60% Trade Marketing and 40% Marketing, you will
define the Picture of Success for Pizza category in Italy, by:

 

  • Leading the development of complete channel solutions that better meet shopper & customer needs and drive the Commercial Planning process, coordinating and tracking the execution of brand, channel and customer plans with Sales.
  • Lead ideation and implementation of Marketing Plans in Italy, fueling and influencing European Marketing Plans

TRADE MARKETING main responsibilities:

  • Drive and Support sales in building effective and actionable Customer and Channel Plans in line with company strategies and targets;
  • Work on price, promo, assortment and listing guidelines
  • Define (with Sales Manager) and monitor trade spending
  • Develop customization of commercial proposal and participate side by side with Sales People to meetings with the customers;
  • Facilitates excellence in execution in the daily business communicating, anticipating and measuring results consistently and suggesting commercial corrective action or learning;
  • Proactively manage gaps between category objectives and actuals, driving and monitoring field sales commercial plans, mainly acting on assortment and promotional processes;
  • Give support to the enlarged team in building Commercial Strategies, while collecting and communicating customers insight;
  • Analyze internal and sell-out data, set-up reports at the appropriate Category/Channel/Customer level, identify areas of under/over performance and evaluate risk&opportunities for growth.
  • Drive effectiveness and efficiency projects, proactively acting on promotion and investment evaluation;
  • Drive assortment plans and listing curves, being responsible for the overall budget challenging sales force in maximizing agreements and efficiency;
  • Use data and tools in order to support execution of commercial plan and to monitor business evolution Omnichannel;
  • SRM in alignment with European trade marketing team to put in place best RGM (Revenue Growth Strategies)


MARKETING main responsibilities:

 

 

  • Define strategy and most performing product portfolio for Italy
  • Develop and executes strong, functionally aligned, annual 360° marketing plans (I&R, product mix and Media/Support Plan)
  • Develop deep understanding of consumer behavior identifying key opportunities and issues
  • Monitor and analyze sell out and consumer data to understand and anticipate any trend
  • Define most efficient PFME spending, monitoring ROI.
  • Drive media activation and build ad hoc activities to recruit consumers, assuring coherency within Buitoni brand essence.
  • Works in partnership with communication and graphic agencies to ensure all pieces of brand communication.
  • Manage ranges and products P&L, finding areas of efficiency
  • Work and co-work on I&R projects from idea generation to product launch and post launch evaluation, involving all the relevant stakeholders and business functions.
  • Be involved in the life of the pizza factory establishing close relationship with factory team.
