Position Summary
You will be part of T-Hub South organization located in Assago (Nestlé HQ). T-Hub South has the responsibility to deliver on time and efficiently our goods to our customers, its perimeter extends from Iberia to Greece, Italy included. You will be part of the Service Specialist team, providing executional oversight and managing risks from pre-pickup to delivery. You will monitor service levels for key customers and collaborate with carriers to improve performance and enhance in-transit visibility.
A day in the life of a Transportation Service Specialist
- Pickup & Transit Management: On-time pickup, in-transit tracking, risk mitigation, and record updates.
- Delivery Performance: Identify and recover loads at risk of on-time delivery failure, provide enterprise-wide visibility, and manage rescheduling vs. reassigning freight orders.
- Operational Coordination: Prioritize workload aligned with market strategies, manage customer and sales requests, resolve delivery issues to prevent refusals, and handle call center activities.
- Documentation & Compliance: Capture documentation, approve detention/demurrage, and ensure accurate reason coding.
- Analytics & Reporting: Monitor returns/refusals, carriers and transit points service level KPIs, and provide operational insights.
What will make you successful?
- At least 6 months of experience in Transportation / Logistics areas
- Strong analytical mindset with advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Knowledge of SAP is a plus
- Excellent communication skills (spoken and written) in both Italian and English; other languages are a plus
- Problem-solving and a fact-based mindset with a pragmatical and proactive approach
