Position Summary

Within the team, you will plan and control all warehouse related activities, to drive warehouse performances optimization by:

- ensuring required storage and loading capacity

- driving service level improvement to customers and carriers

- optimizing handling and storage costs

 

A day in the life of a Warehouse Planner

  • Build Finished Products and Pack Materials Inbound Flows forecast over the medium-long term horizon to plan and ensure required unloading capacity to follow inbound flows peaks                   
  • Build Finished Products Outbound Flows forecast over the medium-long term horizon to plan and ensure required loading capacity to serve Customers and Carriers                  
  • Control Loading time and Truck Turn Time based on the appointment grid, to drive the improvement for all markets and carriers, supporting the 3PL supplier to find improvement opportunities and reduce idle time both
  • Plan and control Loading Docks Capacity utilization, to ensure required capacity and flexibility optimizing assets rotation (Docks)                
  • Define and periodically review the ABC stock policy, adjusting according to stock profile or products portfolio/innovation products, and by order profile, with the aim to optimize storage capacity saturation
  • Define and periodically review the warehouse Bin Capacity, Put-Away Strategies for existing and new products, with the aim to optimize storage capacity saturation
  • Proactive Cooperate with different functions (Factory Supply Planning, IMSP, Export and Local Demand Management and Customer Service, T-HUB, DSP) to analyze medium term stock forecast by market to ensure required storage capacity            
  • Monitor warehouse stock, in order to proactively cooperate with stakeholders to ensure freshness of products and reduce Bad Goods and ensure flawless execution through 3PL suppliers of timely destruction.
