  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (preferably computer science, engineering or a field related to the product);
  • Demonstrated experience in a product-based IS/IT organization;
  • 10+ years experience reporting to an IT function (ideally Infrastructure), with service & result orientation behavior;
  • Networks activities across a large number of sites.

Position Summary

Are you a talented Platform Manager ready to join Nestlé’s new IT Platforms-CVC team in Milan, Italy? You will be responsible for one or several products related to Campus connectivity technologies (LAN & Wi-Fi). You will be responsible for the definition of the product vision & roadmap, and accountable for the design, implementation of the building block technologies and solutions, the execution of a go-to-market strategy to generate IT key stakeholders adoption through the creation of end-to-end value delivery.

 

A day in the life of Platform Manager Lan & WiFi

  • Develop a deep understanding of the business capabilities and use it to segment customers based on their needs and profile. Provide an outside-in strategy of how to best target each segment;
  • Work with the Solution Architects, Technology Experts and Operations Specialists, to develop a product vision and roadmap to maximize value in line with corporate and business strategy, and make solutions available as part of the Product Portfolio offering;
  • Analyze the competitive landscape, specifically for TCO and value for money to inform the product strategy before and during product life;
  • Work with CVC Regional Senior Operations Managers and Regional Technical LAN Leads to capture local market needs and pain points, support in escalation of technical issues;
  • Participate in the IT governance processes that enable prioritization across multiple options and support the business governance processes (e.g. automation that would reduce business spend or significantly impact business ways of working);
  • Develop people trough coaching, defining effective development plans and talent assessment, to build the right capabilities for the team’s and for the organization’s long-term success;
  • Ensure the product strategy can be delivered within his own product stack and it is in synergy with other key products strategies (WAN and SD-WAN, Voice & Conferencing, Contact Center, Security, Data Center & Cloud, SAP platforms, T&P factories etc.);
  • Analyze the reporting provided by the Performance Manager for insights of product impact and adoption within Nestlé;
  • Work with consumers to define and validate specific key value indicators and key performance indicators to improve the product value;
  • Drive performance through empowering and enabling people, giving and receiving feedback, evaluating performance, constantly challenging the organization to ensure its results and effectiveness;
  • Define and ensure the continuous improvement of the global support model for LAN & Wi-Fi Managed Services.

  • Experience working in a worldwide company with people across countries with different cultures and across multiple time zones with virtual teams;
  • Above-average organization and prioritization skills, with the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities at the same time;
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment;
  • Experience with effective communication in English at different levels in the organization;
  • Understanding of how network technologies are applied by best-in-class companies;
  • Strong understanding of the practical application of technology trends, leading industry analysts, and new evolving business models;
  • Understanding of IT budget planning and experience in building IT Programs & Projects Business Cases;
  • Strong knowledge in design methodologies and project experience deploying LAN & Wi-Fi technologies (Cisco Catalyst Switches, Wireless Controllers and Access Points) and their respective authentication, management and monitoring platforms (e.g. Cisco ISE, Cisco DNA Center, SolarWinds Orion etc.);
  • Strong understanding of next generation management & monitoring tools, with focus on automation and end-to-end performance visibility;
  • Strong understanding of Cybersecurity guidelines and Risk & Compliance frameworks (e.g. PCI) implications to the IS/IT architectural standards.
