Position Summary
In collaboration with his/her mentor, proactively build and execute own personal training plan
Plan, organize and perform a broad range of research and / or development activity utilizing specialized knowledge to create new packaging and / or differentiating technology while using professional judgement and following Nestle procedures under supervision of a mentor.
A day in the life of a Graduate Packaging Engineer :
Packaging Development
Plan, organize and perform trials and experiments in the pilot plant necessary to achieve brief objectives in a timely manner.
Provide scientific / technical support within the Centre and for our external clients Central Marketing, PPRSA and factories.
Give support to projects and manage in a second time small projects with all the deliverables as assigned. Requirements include, but are not limited to:
- Provide project support for activities assigned.
- Collaborate with all the PTC support functions as necessary for project advancement use the global Petcare / Nestlé Expert Network to ensure best practices.
- Strictly adhere to the value chain development process and the Corporate I2L tool. Track and report the KPI's for each development phase.
- Follow the workbook as required
- Travel as necessary.
Communication
Effectively communicate by oral presentation and written technical communication and reports.
Raise commercial / technical issues to the appropriate level
Share "lesson learned" with other project leaders within the global petcare R&D community.
Ensure that all appropriate documents and projects records are uploded in I2L and/or Documentum
Innovation /renovation
Participate in creative sessions for the creation of new packaging concepts, propose new ideas and identify new technology / equipment.
Continuously acquire technical expertise and contribute actionable ideas for product and process development.
Nestlé policy protection
Adhere to the company's policy of protection of patent rights and intellectual property.
Strictly comply with the Nestlé approach for contiunuous improvement and product safety (NIMS, NCE, Quality Manual, ...)
With no exception conduct new packaging material safety assessment with the support of the Packaging Safety 1 Compliance expert, and follow packaging release procedure.
Fulfill each of the tasks described above respecting the requirements of the quality management system, food safety, safety of personnel and the Environment which are in force in R&D Amiens and aligned with the Nestlé Corporate Business Principles. Report any issue related to these requirements. Take into account all identified risks related to the job.
