Location: Nestlé R&D Centre Amiens (80 Hauts de France) France
Packaging Equipment Engineer (Mechanical Engineering, Packaging or Materials Science engineering) with 8+ years of professional experience in Packaging (Food industry or R&D).

Position Summary
You lead packaging equipment development to support the innovation and renovation of products/packages/systems from inception through all stages of development in response to business and consumer needs.
A day in the life of...
Proactively propose and drive new ideas/projects/methods to Research & Development Centre and Operations. Provide strong packaging equipment scientific/technical guidance to team members and business partners.. Actively participate in expert network to promote cross-fertilization between different sites
Ensure End-to-End project management in an international, cross-functional and matrix environment, respecting the requirements of the quality management system, food safety, safety of personnel and the environment which are in force in Nestlé. Create alignment with business partners and ensure all financials and key project timelines are updated for accurate risk assessments.
Provide accurate and on-time support to operations with effective and sustainable solutions: give operational support to customers, assistance in industrialization start-ups, follow-up product launches, including technical improvements.
Fulfill each of the tasks described above respecting the requirements of the quality management system, food safety, safety of personnel and the environment which are in force in R&D Amiens and aligned with the Nestlé Corporate Business Principles. Report any issue related to these requirements. Take into account all identified risks related to the job.
What will make you successful
Adaptability, curiosity and continuous improvement and ability to think outside the box
Solid experience in project management and problem solving
Strong written and oral communication skills in English
Good interpersonal/teamwork skills and sense of business/technical interrelationships
Strong knowledge of packaging equipment and some knowledge of packaging materials
FFS pouch equipment experience, especially in retort application is a plus
