As a “MPS and MRP Planner”, you will provide production requirements to factories based on advanced knowledge of production constraints. You will follow-up corresponding production plans to ensure that finished goods are available on-time with high freshness and at the right stock location, all the while maintaining optimal performance indicators and distribution costs. In the role we are looking for, you will also focus on the MRP for green coffee. 


A Day in the Life of a MPS and MRP Planner

MRP Green Coffee :

  • Establish detailed monitoring of overstock & out-of-stock risks for all the origins of green coffee on the Mid-and Long Term horizon.
  •  Lead the governance of risks ‘monitoring with all the stakeholders involved (Coffee Development, Application Group, Marketing, Procurement, Physical Logistics, etc.). Follow-up the action plan and execution.
  • Align with Green Coffee Logistics the delivery plans 
  • Identify impacts and preventive action plans
  • Ensure good communication between Green Coffee Logistics and Production Planners.

MPS for a dedicated portfolio :

  • Build a feasible 18-months production plan by week/month, line and SKU, based on Market’s requirements
  • Establish the OP production plan (volume by line and by product) on an annual basis
  • Update each week the production plan for the next 12 weeks by line at SKU level considering production constraint and market’s demand, to guarantee stock-cover objective in the International DC
  • Consistently achieve sustainable customer service level for the markets within the Working Capital and Freshness objectives by ensuring that the weekly planning process is executed on time
  • Ensure successful product Launches & Phase-outs
  • Challenge existing Production Planning processes and tools
  • Establish stock policies for finished goods
  • Inventory management: balance the need for product availability versus the need to minimise costs of inventory to ensure optimum stocks of the right material in the right location
  • Create and maintain the appropriate master data in the planning systems in use to minimise errors, and avoid duplication and obsolescence

 

What will make you successful

  • Bachelor or Masters’ degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or relevant field
  • Relevant operational experience in Factory Planning, Supply Planning, Purchasing or Supply Chain Development
  • Relevant experience in Logistics and customer service is a plus
  • Green coffee supply chain knowledge is a strong plus
  • Knowledge of supply planning tools (SAP, APO, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders at various levels
  • Analytical mindset
  • Adaptable and prioritization skills
