We are looking for a Project Engineering Manager to plan the technical side of an investment project ensuring a design for manufacturing excellence (free of waste)  and Lead  the execution (from investment project charter until vertical start-up) by managing a cross-functional team whose objective is to oversee the capital investments relating to the company's fixed assets.  This could involve the relocation and optimising of the existing fixed asset base and/or the purchase of new fixed assets. 


A day in the life of...

 

1. Preparing designs, project controls and specifications, schedules, cost estimates, production, transportation, installation, testing and/or commissioning of new infrastructure, facilities, equipment, etc. 
2. Monitoring progress and performance against the project plan; taking action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays 
3. Identifying, developing, and gathering the resources necessary to complete the project 
4. May include preparing engineering standards, designs and work specifications; developing project schedules, budgets and forecasts; and selecting materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors;
5. Supervises professional level employees (typically entry or experienced level) and may also supervise some para-professional employees
6. Sets goals and objectives for team members for achievement of operational results
7. Ensures policies, practices and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports, customers and stakeholders


What will make you successful

 

1. ​Manufacturing projects management (”making it happen”):  5 years experience in an international project environment context within which, projects were defined and budgeted, assessed and implemented (entire project life cycle)
2. Capital Investment projects management in food industry.
3. Determination of methods to minimise the likelihood of injuries or damages to people and/or equipment (SH&E)
4. Factory operations (as required)
5. People development and management tools (including PDP, coaching, competences training, career and succession planning, recruitment and development
6. Knowledge of I2L a mindset and ways of working based on available online trainings and workshops
7. Knowledge of the requirements for a good capex submision and the available tool based on available online trainings and workshops.​
