We are currently looking for a Maintenance Method Manager to join our Balıkesir Factory team.
Location: Balıkesir
Type of contract: Permanent
Ensure the reliable and efficient operation of factory equipment and utilities by implementing preventive maintenance, addressing breakdowns promptly, managing resources (staff, contractors, and inventory), and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards to minimize downtime and optimize production.
As a Maintenance Method Manager, you will have the following responsibilities;
- Ensure processes and equipment are safe for people, products and the environment.
- Ensure compliance with local regulatory/statutory requirements and insurance requirements.
- Ensure safety of project teams and visitors supporting project teams or doing technical work
- Ensure Process & Equipment safety for people, products and environment and that one exhibits an attitude of absolute intolerance for unsafe situations.
- Ensure that the Change Management is in place to appropriately manage modifications in the maintenance solutions.
- Ensure the application of the market and local maintenance related legislation. Lead implementation of applicable standards. Responsible to ensure adherence to applicable standards.
- Lead development and implementation of site maintenance strategy using Nestlé Continuous Excellence (NCE) tools and methodologies.
- Ensure site maintenance strategy supports short-term and long-term business objectives. Continuously improve the capability and skills of the maintenance organization.
- Support short-term and long-term improvement of line performance and loss reduction through application of Nestlé Continuous Excellence (NCE) tools and methodologies.
- Provide site leadership for technical solutions to operational problems including system optimization, debottlenecking and troubleshooting.
- Ensure root cause identification and elimination within the technical team.
- Enhance technical store management by identifying and implementing improvements to inventory control systems, optimizing stock levels, and streamlining material handling processes to minimize downtime and improve operational efficiency.
- Establish and control maintenance routines to ensure that maintenance activities are scheduled and executed in time with high quality.
- Lead implementation of the maintenance methodologies across factory/department
- Coach and promote breakdown analysis.
- Ensures availability of maintenance resources to implement and execute maintenance routines, methodologies.
- Provide input for annual maintenance budget. Report and track maintenance budget according to guidelines. Analyze over/under spending and put in place corrective actions.
- Coordinate production support to eliminate quality defects, safety risks and chronic technical issues.
- Responsible to link production and engineering, by being active member of Local committee.
- Oversee the efficient management of technical store, ensuring that critical parts and materials are available to support smooth operations. As a key member of the team, be responsible for inventory management, supplier coordination, process optimization, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Work closely with production and IS teams to identify material needs and improve operational efficiency.
- Create and manage competence building plan (CBP) for the team. Organize technical training program for all factory maintenance staff. Promote and educate Factory executive committee about importance of Maintenance. Provide input for maintenance staff succession planning. Build up maintenance methodologies competencies within Engineering, on the topics from Roles and Responsibilities matrix.
Which profile are we looking for?
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance or engineering role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or in a similar role in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and industrial compliance standards.
- Strong technical knowledge of factory systems, machinery, and utilities.
- Experience in preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Experience in managing third party maintenance services.
- Leadership skills with experience managing a team of technicians.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Knowledge of local regulatory and statutory requirements relating to mechanical equipments and environment
- Good knowledge of Asset maintenance
- Knowledge of Mechanical Systems: Understanding of pumps, motors, gearboxes, and conveyors.
- Knowledge of Hydraulics & Pneumatics: Knowledge of hydraulic pumps, cylinders, and pneumatic systems.
- Knowledge of Welding & Fabrication: Welding and repairing mechanical components.
- Knowledge of Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and fix mechanical failures.
- Knowledge of Lubrication Systems: Familiarity with lubrication and maintenance of moving parts.
- Good knowledge of Management of Change.
- Living in Balıkesir or willing to move to Balıkesir
