We are currently looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Project team.

Location: Balıkesir

Type of contract: Permanent

 

As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will have the following responsibilities;

 

  • During project design phase:

Coordinate the basic ,detailed design and permit processes of the project based on Nestlé Corporate Business Principles, Nestlé standards, local regulations, the defined User Requirements Specifications  (safety, quality, affordability, maintainability, operability and reliability). Ensure by design the workers, and operators, safety during both the construction and the ongoing operation of the plant.

 

  • During the project implementation phase:

Ensures on time delivery of construction project by close follow-up of contractor’s activities at the site, within budget and scope. Ensure the quality and the quantity of the material received at the site is according to the BOQ and technical specifications. Carry out site tours, inspections, to monitor compliance to agreed safe way of working, ensure work permits signed, required precautions taken before start at site. Review risk assessments & way of working, risk predictions to ensure all are done to appropriate standard. Making sure construction site meets Nestle guidelines, legal, health and safety requirements      

 

  • During the start-up phase of the project:

Coordinate efforts with the start-up team to ensure a smooth transition to operations after the qualification and verification of the installation. Prepare and distribute the building related handover documentation and provide feedback to the Maintenance Prevention System. Ensure that the Construction scope of project has been fulfilled

 

  • During the whole project life:

To be a team member who constantly strives to improve, who takes care of the safety of all teammates and contractor employees throughout the entire project, and ensures open communication with the whole team by working in coordination with all the stakeholders of the project with a one team mentality. To be the teammate who fully complies with Nestle rules and laws while meeting the project timeline, quality, budget target and the specified technical requirements.

 

Which profile are we looking for?

  • Civil  Construction Project Experience : Minimum 5 years experience in an international project environment context within which, projects were defined and budgeted, assessed and implemented (entire project life cycle)
  • Capital Investment projects experience in food industry, including construction of a new plant, industrial services buildings , admin buildings, warehouses.
  • Coordinate the basic & detail design, implementation and start-up of major  project within the defined scope of responsibility or technical specialisations, drawings.
  • Manage, perform and control of construction works within the defined scope of responsibility or technical specialisations, drawings.
  • Ensures on time delivery of construction project by close follow-up of contractor’s activities at the site, within budget and scope.
  • Managing, directing and monitoring progress during the project, prepare project daily, weekly progress report to her/his supervisor. Escalate and ask support related to project to Civil Construction Manager
  • Determining detailed project plan based on established project schedule. Monitor regularly with contractors and report any deviations with action plan.
  • Discussing requirements, deviations to approved project design with the stakeholders, architects, designers, legal offices and report scope changes.
  • Coordinate & monitor the works at construction site with contractors.
  • Determination of methods to minimise the likelihood of injuries or damages to people and/or equipment (SH&E)
  • Ensure the quality and the quantity of the material received at the site is according to the BOQ and technical specifications.
  • Carry out site tours, inspections, to monitor compliance to agreed safe way of working, ensure work permits signed, required precautions taken before start at site.

  • Autocad, MS Office, Comfortable at using MS Project
