DATA PLATFORM ENGINEER
We are looking for a Data Platform Engineer to be part of our Nestlé Nespresso Digital and Tech Team. At Nespresso, our Digital & Tech teams are at the heart of our innovation journey, a space where we continue to invest, evolve, and grow.

The Role:
As a Data Platform Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, provisioning, and operating Nespresso’s enterprise Data Platform capabilities across Azure and Snowflake. You will enable the data community to deliver trusted, scalable, and reliable data products faster by building reusable platform services, automation frameworks, and operational capabilities. Working closely with Enterprise Architecture, Security, Infrastructure, and Data teams, you will ensure platform services are secure, compliant, highly available, and aligned with Nespresso and Nestlé technology standards.
You will be responsible for evolving the platform beyond traditional data asset deployment by delivering self-service capabilities, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) patterns, orchestration frameworks, governance controls, and operational excellence practices. This role combines platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, data engineering, and DevOps expertise to create a robust and future-ready data ecosystem.
In This Role, You Will:
- Design, build, and continuously improve reusable platform capabilities for data ingestion, orchestration, access management, automation, and governance across Azure and Snowflake.
- Provision and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), ensuring consistency, scalability, security, and operational readiness.
- Maintain and optimize Kubernetes environments supporting Airflow orchestration, including upgrades, capacity management, monitoring, and reliability improvements.
- Develop and manage Azure DevOps repositories, pipelines, and CI/CD frameworks to enable secure, controlled, and automated platform delivery.
- Build and support Azure Data Factory (ADF) integration and ingestion pipelines using standardized, reusable, and production-ready patterns.
- Implement and enforce RBAC models, security controls, audit requirements, and compliance guardrails across platform services.
- Drive operational excellence through platform monitoring, incident management, root-cause analysis, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Partner with stakeholders across Data, Infrastructure, Security, Enterprise Architecture, and business teams to deliver scalable platform solutions and adoption frameworks.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or data platform engineering roles within enterprise environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), including deployment automation and environment management.
- Experience managing Kubernetes environments and workflow orchestration platforms such as Apache Airflow.
- Solid expertise in Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipeline design, Git-based development practices, and release management.
- Experience building and supporting data integration and orchestration solutions using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and related Azure data services.
- Strong understanding of Snowflake platform administration, provisioning, security models, and operational best practices.
- Experience implementing RBAC frameworks, security controls, compliance requirements, and governance standards in cloud environments.
- Proficiency in Python scripting and automation for platform operations, monitoring, and workflow management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and drive sustainable solutions.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across global and cross-functional teams.
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
