EDGE COMPUTING TECH LEAD

The Role:

Under the supervision and guidance of his primary Community of Practice Lead and Platform Manager, the Edge Computing Tech Lead brings deep expertise and knowledge on CDN platforms. S/He guides the platform and promotes optimal use of the CDN technology to support the cost-effective delivery of business requirements within their area of expertise while maintaining it safe with the WAF configurations. Working at the leading edge of IT, the Edge Computing Tech Lead performs preliminary studies, helping to set the technological direction with the platform manager. S/He supports delivery and sustains the most complex applications and business capabilities and may be accountable for specific deliverables in relation to delivery and security.

In This Role, You Will:

• Stay abreast of the latest trends, technologies, and advancements in edge computing and related fields
• Lead an Edge Compute team of experts to maintain, evolve and operate the CDN and WAF platforms.
• Optimize edge computing infrastructure to deliver enhanced performance, low-latency data processing, and efficient resource utilization
• Implement robust security measures to protect sensitive data at the edge and during transmission. Address privacy concerns and ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations.
• Create detailed technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, specifications, and user guides, to facilitate seamless knowledge sharing and future development.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to implement the edge computing solutions to power Nespresso applications.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to design robust and scalable edge computing architectures tailored to meet specific project requirements
• Develop and maintain the necessary IaaC and CaaC to deploy Nespresso Infrastructure and configurations.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, system analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience
• Demonstrable experience working with edge computing technologies and architectures.
• Demonstrable experience leading high performant teams.
• Previous experience with Akamai CDN technologies.
• Expertise in networking protocols (e.g., MQTT, CoAP, HTTPS) and edge-to-cloud communication.
• Solid understanding of security principles and best practices in edge computing environments.
• Demonstrable experience with continuous delivery tools like Github, Bitbucket, Jenkins or Azure Dev-ops.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Extra Skills That Set You Apart:

• Previous experience with any other edge computing technologies.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and lead technical initiatives.
• Previous experience integrating CDN technologies with public cloud providers
