Position Summary

The Factory Floor IT Specialist will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the IT systems and infrastructure that support our manufacturing operations. With a deep understanding of factory floor processes and technology, the ideal candidate will leverage their extensive experience to troubleshoot issues, integrate systems, and implement technological solutions that drive efficiency and productivity. This position requires a proactive individual who can identify and address IT-related challenges on the factory floor, ensuring minimal disruption to production activities.

 

The candidate will collaborate between Regional IT streams and Market / Factories (IT infrastructure – servers, Network etc.). This role demands a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a strong commitment to operational excellence. 

 

 

 

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage regional escalations related to FFIT in Factories.
  • Support implementation of solutions in Factories.
  • Responsible for the IT Security & Compliance in Factories.
  • Accountable for FFIT Zone Performance against SLA’s
  • Liaison between Regional ITP streams and Market / Factories.
  • Support initial Regional Pilots for solution implementation in factories.
  • Ensure adherence to IT and FFIT Standards.
  • Support local capacity management (Virtual farms, VMs and DBs), coordination of virtual farms set-up / architecture.
  • Regional Liaison with IT Platform & Network service Provider.
  • Monitor bandwidth requirements for factories & Global Applications.
  • Coordination for configuration of factory firewalls, facilitate requests for remote Third-Party Access.
  • Coach, train and guide the FFIT staff in market and factories to enhance technical & project management capabilities.

Required Profile

  • Minimum 12 years of experience in IT or Factory Automation roles, with significant experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in, Instrumentation, Electronics, Information Technology, Computer Science Engineering or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of IT systems, networking, Server infrastructure with cybersecurity practices and data protection.
  • Experience with industrial automation systems, protocols, IIoT systems of OT/IT Infrastructure.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills & ability to analyse complex IT & Operational Technology issues.
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills to effectively interact with factory floor staff & cross-functional teams.
  • Good Understanding in programming and troubleshooting PLCs (Programmable Logic Controller), SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems.
