As Global Operations Lead LAN&WiFi at Nestlé’s Global IT Hub in Bangalore, you’ll be responsible for the continuous value delivery of the Platform worldwide. You’ll oversee sustain, deployment, retirement and leverage and ensures the effective and efficient operational support of all internally or by a third-party managed platform in scope for the day-to-day delivery of all operational and technical planning, organization, and coordination of all the required services.

 

A DAY IN THE LIFE…

Reporting to the Sr. Global Platform Manager, you will collaborate with Regions, Projects, and the Platform teams to establish and oversee operations policies and strategies across multiple regions. Your role involves ensuring efficient processes, achieving operational goals, and handling strategic planning, resource and budget planning, and performance monitoring. Effective communication with stakeholders, addressing operational challenges, optimizing productivity, ensuring compliance, driving continuous improvement, and providing leadership at the site are all key responsibilities in this role.

  • Provides oversight in the products' 'run' and 'maintain' phase to deliver the committed product business value, while offering input to peers.
  • Offers operations and governance escalation support to ensure service level objectives are met.
  • Ensures optimal service at the right cost and quality, with the ability to right-size resources as needed.
  • Leads the development of operational aspects and ensures their end-to-end integration and value delivery.
  • Participates in assessing external and internal technology capabilities for integration with the existing IT operations environment.
  • Contributes to increasing flexibility by leveraging partners to meet growing business demand and enabling Nestlé employees to focus on value-added activities.
  • Fosters transversal skills to support products and ensure operational excellence.
  • Supports and influences the product roadmap, particularly in significant or complex innovation initiatives, by collaborating with Product Owners or the Platform Manager.
  • Provides recommendations on improving the effectiveness, efficiency, and delivery of services through the utilization of emerging technology, technical methods, and methodologies.
  • Ensures fulfillment of contracts and provides input on changes in services and/or contracts, collaborating with Procurement and Vendor Management.
  • Drives continuous improvement in the effectiveness and efficiency of operational support for internally or partner-managed platform services.

 

ARE YOU A FIT?

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, with 8+ years of experience in IT Operations within an enterprise/global environment.
  • Strong leadership skills, influencing key stakeholders, and cross-functional team management.
  • Experience in Service Management best practices and establishing standard processes.
  • Proven experience in leading IT operations teams in complex, 24/7 environments.
  • Proficiency in budget planning, effective communication, and working with virtual teams in a global setting.
  • Strong understanding of system engineering, risk management, and architecture standards.
  • Familiarity with both traditional practices (IT service management) and agile methods (e.g., DevOps).
  • Deep understanding of the IT landscape in the relevant functional area.
  • Effective influencing, negotiation, and supplier relationship management skills.
  • Ability to foster collaboration, customer service culture, and work with diverse cultures.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for building partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including service integrators, providers, and vendors globally
  • Proficiency in budget planning and financial management.
  • Strong communication skills at different levels within the organization, including fluency in English.
  • Experience working in a global environment and collaborating with virtual teams.
