RELEASE MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST
We are looking for a Release Management Specialist to be part of our Nestlé Nespresso Digital and Tech Team. At Nespresso, our Digital & Tech teams are at the heart of our innovation journey, a space where we continue to invest, evolve, and grow.

The Role:
The Release Management Specialist contributes to planning, preparation, execution, verification, and review of critical interventions, ensuring the delivery of reliable, predictable, and high-quality outcomes. This role is responsible for strategically planning and coordinating software releases from test to production environments in collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Product and Project Management, Testing, Operations, Deployment, Support, and Development.
The Release Management Specialist supports the consistent application of quality and integrity standards throughout the release process by participating in the full Release Management lifecycle. This includes scheduling, coordination, and management of releases across the enterprise for multiple products, in close collaboration with IS/IT Product Managers.
The role also provides valuable support to project and product teams by enabling effective planning and deployment of releases into production. A solid understanding of the DevOps framework is required, along with the ability to contribute to release pipeline orchestration, automation initiatives, and post-release stability. Experience working in Agile environments is also expected.
In This Role, You Will:
- Participate in developing a comprehensive high-level plan outlining tasks, timelines, and responsible parties, while utilizing appropriate coordination tools when needed.
- Contribute to ensuring that all preparation activities are thoroughly documented, following checklists to maintain accuracy and completeness.
- Participate in the decision-making process for go-ahead approvals, involving both management and technical teams, taking into account readiness levels and test results.
- Participate in alignment calls and ongoing communication with technical teams, stakeholders, and management to ensure a smooth and coordinated intervention process.
- Participate in post-release reviews in collaboration with technical teams and stakeholders, focusing on identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions, and supporting follow-up to drive continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the management of products and interdependencies to ensure adherence to milestones and enable accurate measurement of release integrity.
- Continuously strive to identify improvements in the Agile release process by collaborating with communities of practice.
- Support the monitoring of deployment operations to enhance pre-release activities, upgrades, and current software versions.
- Support the delivery of single-product releases as well as enterprise-level releases, such as IT bundles or “import all” releases.
- Support the supervision of the release pipeline and scheduling of deployments, in collaboration with Deployment and Operations teams, to minimize downtime for end users.
- Support the planning and execution of multiple software releases throughout release cycles.
- Contribute to ensuring the predictable, consistent, and successful delivery of software releases by establishing upfront success criteria, promoting alignment, and actively managing outcomes.
- Contribute to measuring and monitoring progress to ensure that application releases are delivered on time, within budget, and meet or exceed expectations.
- Support coordination of release content and effort based on the service request backlog and pending service requests.
- Maintain the release repository and manage critical information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists.
- Contribute to conducting release readiness reviews, post-release reviews, milestone reviews, and business Go/No-Go reviews.
- Provide support in orchestrating the release pipeline, implementing automation, and ensuring post-release stability.
- Participate in release-related risk assessments by supporting the identification and evaluation of risks associated with the release process.
- Support ensuring that key deliverables are communicated clearly and in line with the agreed plan.
- Contribute with the release team to process evolution, keep documentation up to date, and support process training for stakeholders and key roles.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Release Management across test-to-production environments
- Strong understanding of Agile and DevOps ways of working
- Proven ability to coordinate across large, cross-functional teams
- Experience with release planning, documentation, and governance
- Strong communication, risk awareness, and execution mindset
