Lead regional formulation, nutrition, and ingredients strategies to create competitive, science‑driven pet food products across multiple factories in the AOA region.

A DAY IN A LIFE...

Product & Ingredient Leadership

• Lead formulation, nutrition, and ingredient solutions for complex I&R projects.

• Support marketing and technical teams in deploying the regional I&R strategy.

• Ensure product compliance with global nutritional standards and local regulations.

Formula Optimization & Cost Efficiency

• Drive formula optimization across factories, focusing on sustainability, cost reduction, and complexity reduction.

• Lead ingredient development and validation efforts to enable least‑cost formulation.

People Leadership & Capability Building

• Develop and guide a team of formulators, nutritionists, and ingredient specialists.

• Identify technical/behavioral gaps and build training plans.

Science & Technology Application

• Translate consumer insights into product concepts using strong scientific and nutritional knowledge.

• Support creation of winning product platforms in collaboration with CMI and Marketing.

Ingredient Governance

• Oversee VAM/VIA processes to ensure the right ingredients at the right cost.

• Maintain ingredient policies and ensure compliance across markets.

Cross‑Functional & External Collaboration

• Partner with Marketing, QA, Regulatory, PTC/R&D, Engineering, Supply Chain, and factory teams.

• Act as the technical interface with universities, suppliers, and regulatory bodies

ARE YOU A FIT?

• Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related fields; MBA/Master’s is a plus.

• At least 7 years preferably as petfood nutritionist/formulator. Horizontal experience in QA, RSA/ Manufacturing or related positions in petfood is acceptable.

• Good knowledge of general petfood process (dry, wet and treats).

• Strong communication skills and ability to effectively work in team environment with large and multidisciplinary teams.

• Ability to travel internationally is required.

• Experience of people leadership and development is a plus.
