A DAY IN THE LIFE …

• Lead the planning, design review, and execution of civil engineering projects, including buildings, utilities, infrastructure, foundations, and structural works.

• Prepare and review engineering calculations, technical specifications, drawings, scope documents, and construction methodologies.

• Manage project timelines, budgets, resources, and contractor performance to ensure successful delivery.

• Provide technical oversight during site development, construction, installation, testing, and commissioning activities.

• Ensure compliance with local regulations, engineering codes, safety standards, environmental requirements, and company policies.

• Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to align project objectives and resolve technical issues.

• Conduct site inspections, progress reviews, risk assessments, and quality checks to ensure work is completed to required standards.

• Support tendering, contractor evaluation, bid review, and contract administration activities.

• Identify opportunities for value engineering, cost optimization, constructability improvement, and process efficiency.

• Prepare project reports, progress updates, documentation, and handover packages for stakeholders and management.

• Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on technical problem-solving, project execution, and engineering best practices.

ARE YOU A FIT?

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in civil engineering design, construction, project execution, or infrastructure development.

• Strong knowledge of structural and civil engineering principles, construction practices, and applicable industry standards.

• Experience in managing contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary project teams.

• Proficiency in engineering and project management tools such as AutoCAD, STAAD, ETABS, SAP2000, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent software as applicable.

• Familiarity with cost estimation, scheduling, contract management, and construction quality control.

• Professional Engineer license or equivalent certification is preferred, where applicable.

• Strong understanding of workplace safety, construction risk management, and environmental compliance.
