A DAY IN THE LIFE…
1. GOVERNANCE AND STRATEGY DELIVERY
- Own the regional sustainability strategy and governance, aligning critical functions and markets around a common agenda
- Drive end to end collaboration across functions, ensuring efficient governance across entities and teams
- Orchestrate projects across category, keeping delivery on time, on cost and on quality
- Embed GHG and carbon considerations into the way of working, notably within Idea to Launch (I2L) framework, so climate impact gets assessed at each development stage
2. SUSTAINABILITY PROJECT DELIVERY & PERFORMANCE
- Align annual ESG targets with Zone and secure delivery against these, particularly for packaging circularity (D4R, VPR), climate, and regenerative agriculture
- Oversee project benefits and compliant reporting through Service Now, GPS and SHE-PM
- Challenge assumptions and secure the long-term project pipeline
- Escalate issues to the right stakeholder and lead resolution
3. RISK, COMPLIANCE & NON-FINANCIAL REPORTING SUPPORT
- Support external disclosure for Group and local markets, aligning with Centre, Legal and Regulatory teams
- Respond to local customer disclosure requests in coordination with Centre, NiM Legal and Regulatory
- Develop the regional climate risk and opportunity assessment, integrating adaptation and resilience into operations and sourcing
4. DATA MANAGEMENT & CARBON FOOTPRINT ACCURACY
- Build and maintain the NPP AOA ingredient emission factors database, aligned with GPS and reflected in the formulation tool, for accurate and compliant formula carbon footprint calculations
- Lead the transition from secondary to primary data, ensuring scientific validity and identifying the size of the opportunity
- Maintain a single source of truth across data sets and ESG tracking/reporting systems avoiding double entry or misalignment
5. COMMUNICATION & VALORIZATION
- Collaborate with marketing on valorization, providing facts and tangible data for them to craft communications and secure brand equity.
- Review brand claims, communications approvals and digital website content, ensuring every statement carries scientific evidence and proof points, in collaboration with legal and regulatory.
6. CAPABILITY BUILDING
- Build sustainability capability across NPP AOA markets through strong onboarding, continuous training, and one to one support
- Integrate sustainability content into NPP AOA digital learning solutions for newcomers (in collaboration with education & training lead)
- Act as SPOC for training from Climate Hub on tools, regulations, and related topics
ARE YOU A FIT?

Master's degree in environmental science, agronomy, carbon accounting or a related field.

At least 5 years of experience in sustainability, carbon accounting or environmental management, ideally within an industrial or FMCG setting.

Strong understanding of GHG accounting methodologies (Scope 1, 2 and 3) and life cycle assessment tools.

Experience managing emission factors databases and primary data collection for carbon footprint calculations.

Familiarity with regenerative agriculture, packaging circularity and biodiversity frameworks.

Track record of cross functional collaboration with factories, application groups, marketing, legal, regulatory and category teams.

Comfortable navigating a matrixed, multi-market organisation and engaging stakeholders across cultures.
