Position Summary
As a Forklift Operator, you will perform a variety of tasks within our warehouse including loading and unloading trucks, case picking product, and staging finished product as it is released from our packing area. You will utilize digital systems for all shipping and receiving processes as well as communication across the Warehouse. Successful candidates must maintain a great attendance record and must be able to work overtime and off shifts.
The first two weeks will be Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm then will transfer to your assigned shift, 6am-6pm OR 6pm-6am operating on 2-2-3 schedule.
The starting pay for this position is $27.85/hr. with progression up to $31.07/hr. based on knowledge/skill demonstration, technical assessments and performance reviews. - Operate a forklift in a productive manner, demonstrating initiative while maintaining adequate levels of productivity, utilization, and efficiency.
- Safely load/unload trailers ensuring weight distribution, load integrity, and all shipping instructions are followed.
- Ensure product being loaded has cleared all quality checks prior to shipping.
- Unload product as directed while visually inspecting for damaged and defective materials.
- Maintain proficient knowledge of all finished product and RF systems to facilitate an accurate rotation of stock using the FIFO (First In First Out) method.
- Perform daily maintenance checks on forklifts and submit a written report to shift supervisor on needed repairs.
- Maintain general warehouse sanitation practices and organization including partial pallet consolidation, cycle counts, and maintaining accurate physical inventory.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 6+ months of forklift experience in a warehouse, distribution center, manufacturing, military or related environment
The starting hourly pay for this position is $27.85/hr. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
