Position Summary

 

As Lead Stockroom Coordinator, you will be responsible for the new Batavia factory purchasing, receiving and inventory for all parts, materials and equipment for maintenance, repairs, operations and capital projects. In this lead role, you will establish stockroom standards, processes and objectives and drive innovative solutions to reduce cycle count deviations and material loss. You will assist Engineering, Maintenance and Operations to enhance performance, reliability and quality at the factory by maintaining inventory integrity, efficient purchasing processes and effective receiving procedures.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage maintenance/repair/operations (MRO) inventory levels as well as purchase requests generated through work orders
  • Maintain inventory in accordance with Nestlé best practices including cycle counts, minimum/maximum levels, repair versus replace, and evaluation of obsolete parts
  • Receive equipment and materials required by Maintenance, Engineering, Production, Warehouse and QA to operate effectively and efficiently and oversee distribution to appropriate locations
  • Coordinate with planners, schedulers and maintenance team leaders on all new part setups with accurate descriptions, proper part numbers and internal control IDs 
  • Develop and report on purchasing/receiving KPIs and maintain all vendor, receiver, capital and major maintenance project data
  • Utilize enterprise resource planning system, SAP, to track inventory, work orders and generate reports
  • Coordinate with the Engineering, Maintenance and Accounting teams to ensure accuracy of goods received, vendor invoices and accruals
  • Assist with training, coaching and driving standards for stockroom team members
  • Collaborate with the Engineering and Maintenance teams to research parts, materials, equipment  and vendors for capital projects, major maintenance repairs and factory improvements
  • Provide exceptional service and maintain effective communication with internal customers as well as external vendors and suppliers

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience working in inventory management, ordering, purchasing and/or data entry in a manufacturing, industrial, warehouse, military or related environment

 

OTHER

  • Experience using SAP preferred

 

The approximate pay range for this position is $48,130 - $82,080 per year. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
