Position Summary:

 

The Production Supervisor plays a critical role in driving daily operational performance by applying Daily Management System (DMS) principles to meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets. Through effective coaching, disciplined execution of SOPs and cGMPs, and strong frontline leadership, this role ensures consistent product quality, operational reliability, and compliance with regulatory standards—directly supporting business continuity, customer satisfaction, and cost‑effective manufacturing and distribution.

 

This is a fully onsite role supporting the first shift { 6:00a.m. - 2:30 p.m.} at our manufacturing facility in Bayport, NY.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Leads daily operations using Daily Management System (DMS) principles to drive performance across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, and Cost
  • Provides daily direction and leadership to 15 associates, fostering engagement, accountability, teamwork, and a culture of continuous improvement
  • Recruits, onboards, trains, coaches, and develops associates, including completion of 30‑60‑90 day reviews and ongoing performance evaluations
  • Sets clear performance expectations and monitors results using KPIs, performance data, and observations; provides timely coaching and corrective action as needed
  • Owns all associate‑related matters for direct reports, including attendance, performance management, corrective actions, and documentation in accordance with company policies
  • Plans labor schedules, manages overtime, and maintains accurate timekeeping and attendance records to support productivity and cost targets
  • Monitors daily productivity and execution to ensure operational efficiency, initiative progress, and on‑time task completion
  • Ensures strict adherence to SOPs, cGMPs, safety policies, and code of conduct, reinforcing safe work practices and regulatory compliance
  • Maintains, updates, and ensures accuracy of all required operational records, systems, and reports, including incident, probationary, and compliance documentation
  • Partners in day‑to‑day operations to identify, implement, and sustain process and procedural improvements that enhance departmental performance

 

Requirements:

 

  • 2+ years of prior lead or supervisory role, factory experience preferred
  • High school diploma or GED, with advanced degree strongly preferred
  • Basic ability to read, write and speak English is required to comply with verbal directions, signs, policies & procedures
  • Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
  • Knowledge of quality assurance protocols to ensure product safety and quality standards
  • Ability to follow safety procedures
  • Comfortable using basic digital devices (computers, iPads, etc.)
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly, stand, climb, and bend in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work overtime hours as required by business need
  • Experience with cGMP‑regulated environments preferred; food & beverage, dietary supplement, or pharmaceutical industry experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, TQM, and/or High‑Performance or Team‑Based Organizations) preferred

 

Skills:

 

  • Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively manage changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and support team‑based operations

 

The approximate pay range for this position is $85,000- $95,000 base. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
