Position Title: Strategic Design Manager

BU: Corporate Marketing

Report to: Head of Visual Design

Position Summary

Supports BU brand visual communication. Leads strategic design initiatives and is the functional expert in delivering trainings on BRAND BUILDING IN NESTLE WAY DPPE Room. Provides functional support in design agency relationships. Supports Marketing and Business managers in effectively applying Winning Actions of BBNW related to visual communications. Supports the development of the company image in line with stated ambition.

A day in the life of...

Supports to ensure all visual brand communication contributes to enhancing the company image of trusted leader in NHW.                               

Leads the implementation of the BBNW Delight with Product and Packaging Experience Room - Runs all tools related to DPPE in BU and supports Communication Manager with running Brand Property workshops from GBEP - Looks for opportunities in CEBE room to enhance brand communications through visual brand impact - Understands role of visual communications in WWS - Responsible for the quality of Design Briefs                                

Leads the development and maintenance of productive and collaborative partnerships (including roster appointment and management) with design agencies in order to create engaging, business building visual communication                             

Ultimate responsibility for the development of outstanding design work 100% aligned with Nestlé communication principles                                

Responsible for advocacy and education on the importance of an aligned design process and in managing brand assets in the most effective way, including leading local implementation of MAM and creation and/or dissemination of design and packaging-related guidelines and standards                             

Partners with marketing to develop portfolio strategies that support Nestlé's Brand Architecture standards and facilitate shopper navigation within the portfolio                               

Exhibits expertise and interest in effective visual communciation through digital channels - brand experiences in digital as well as product and packaging presentation in ecommerce                               

Collaborates wtih CT Pack and R&D to deliver brand-led structural and product innovations    

What will make you successful

5+ years experience in design or consumer marketing at Nestlé with training or deep experience in design or equivalent FMCG, or 5+ years design agency experience in strategic planning, creative leadership and / or visual design function. Ideally experience in both.
Experience in leading and supporting cross-functional teams, managing agency relationships, and deep experience guiding teams on how to effectively harness the power of design excellence
