- Business Unit/Function: Strategy & Business Development

- Location: Beijing

Position Summary

- Initiate, lead and support strategic planning, strategic projects and business development activity in Greater China to support Nestlé's business goals.  

A day in the life of...

- Strategic Insight & Planning 
• Support the Head of Strategy & Business Development and Market Head in the formulation and tracking of Nestlé GCR’s 3-5 year strategy and executional roadmap. 
• Gather and document consumer and industry trends and competitive insights, and disseminate across the organization.   As needed, liaise with the global Business Intelligence Center in Switzerland. 

- Project Management 
• Accelerate strategic initiatives by supporting business units, functional units and external consultants and advisors; provide research and analytical support for strategic initiatives, and drive execution by mapping priorities, milestones and deliverables.

- Business Development
• Provide support on business development opportunities (e.g., feasibility studies, valuation analysis, due diligence, transaction process, post-transaction integration), working with internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist in driving Nestlé GCR’s open innovation activity, including cultivating external partners, developing tools and processes, and providing training and project management expertise so business units and functional units can work with accelerators and startups in a productive way.

- Other Leadership Support
• Support the Head of Strategy & Business Development and Market Head on day to day business needs, e.g., preparation of senior executive reviews, white paper development, and Board of Directors presentations.

 

What will make you successful

• University degree, ideally majoring in Finance, Economics, Statistics or related subjects.
• At least 5 years work experience, with at least 3 years work experience in strategy consulting or in an in-house corporate strategy role.
• Experience in strategy development, including project formulation, hypotheses development, financial modeling, strategic options identification, consensus building and implementation.
• Prior experience in consumer packaged goods or retail is preferred; passion for consumer packaged goods is required. 
• Experience in M&A and/or Business Development a plus.
• Experience in corporate Open Innovation activities a plus.
