Position Summary

Enable the execution of the Category agenda across Channels (inc. Key Customers) to support long term Category growth and profitably increase market share based on Shopper and Customer requirements

A day in the life of Sr. Category Development Manager

Responsible for supporting the ICP process by identifying the key opportunities (incorporating understanding on shoppers, category, customer, competition, channel and external environment)
Responsible for driving the implementation and tracking of agreed Category Plans across Channels including the development and release of Cycle Plans
Responsible for generating compelling shopper stories to develop winning strategies for categories vs. competition
Accountable and Responsible for implementing key initiatives that deliver Category/ sub Category growth based on consumer, shopper and customer requirements as identified in ICP
Responsible for recommending actionable in-store solutions based on a clear understanding on shopper behaviour within the Category/ sub Category. Drives implementation of in-store solutions and continuously review the effectiveness of our in-store actions
Accountable and Responsible for developing briefs and working with Shopper Activation team to ensure delivery of in-store solutions in order for field sales to implement
Responsible for proposing optimal investment budgets for category by channel based on ICP. Ensure all PTE & PFME  investment is properly reviewed and evaluated             
Responsible for preparing and implementing new product trade launch plan and conducting pre and post evaluation
Responsible for recommending clear promotional guidelines based on shopper understanding and current market knowledge. Develop effective and efficient promotional activities in line with guidelines and ensure their acceptation and implementation.  Ensure all promotional investment is properly evaluated
Responsible for monitoring promotional trends, initiatives and competitor actions by Category/ sub Category, priority channels and strategic customers. Identify and recommend promotional opportunities for Nestle categories and Brands
Responsible for recommending winning commercial propositions for the category, effectively communicating these to Customer Team and Sales Operation team as appropriate and supporting implementation
Responsible for preparing for the MSR and Sales Plan Review meetings :
- Collect and prepare information for sales uplift based on ICP,
- Review the sales forecast,
- Recommend action plans to close gaps.   
Responsible for ensuring adherence to all company principles and policies.

What will make you successful

 - Graduate with 5 years experience in Trade Marketing and/or Marketing with Sales experience or exhibits strong functional skill and leadership capabilities
 - Good record of success in a customer (not limited to Key Accounts) facing role. Understands customers and the selling process
