Position Snapshot

Position Summary

- Support the Head of IT as a trusted co-pilot within the IT Team on a day to day as well as on a long term strategic view.

- Evaluate financial feasibility of all IT initiatives (eg. process re-design, digitalisation in all directions). Actively participate as a leadership team member in all relevant IT initiatives.

- Provide visibility and budgetary control around costs related to IT activities including co-ordination and validation of all intergroup charges outside of the market and allocation to different units within the market. Ensure timely and accurate of all relevent reports.

- Ensure adherence to financial legal requirements and NAS in the IT areas.

- Play an important role in the digitalisation of the company, prioritise resources, monitor progress and ensure delivery of claimed benefits."                        
 

A day in the life of...

- Prepare IT annual budget and monthly DF taking an approach where data is comprehensive and appropriately challenged, promote Zero base budgeting mindset. Monitor and highlight variances on monthly basis and drive actions to close gaps with the team.                
- Manage charges and cost allocation to different units in the markets based on global guidelines. Ensure allocation scope and driver quantity are validated, aligned, approved by management in relevant cases (e.g charges to China Specific Businesses) and well communicated. Validate all intergroup charges from outside of the market to ensure charges and allocation are well justified based on business reality.                
- Perform financial feasibility studies for all IT initiatives (incl process re-desgin, digitalisation in all directions), evaluate initiatives in a comprehensive and holistic way together with the IT leadership team.
- Prioritise digitalisation projects, monitor progesss of each project and make sure on-time delivery."                
- Drive continuous improvement in IT efficiencies, participate in efficiencies and cost optimization exercise along with other functions and BUs in the company.                
- Support risk and control review driven by the F&C Internal Control function on mandated periodical basis and upon changes in processes in different business streams.                
- Provide visibilities in resources and cost utilization and its progress tracking through all mandated and management reporting.                
- Ensure reporting of all IT activities are in line with NAS and all relevant guidelines                
- Enhance both IT Tangible and Intangible Assets Management, ensure the data accuracy.                

What will make you successful

- Experience in working in a cross-functional and networked organization.
- Prior experience in Accounting / Finance function (e.g. Decision support, functional finances, costing, Financial accounting (AO, AR, AP)), preferably as co-pilot.
- Project management and project finance evaluation involving a cross functional sizable organization.
- Stakeholders including senior management management, communication."
