Position Summary

 

Are you passionate about veterinary science, nutrition, and building strong advocacy?
As our Veterinary Scientific Affairs Manager , you will lead scientific engagement, create meaningful partnerships with veterinary experts, and bring Purina science closer to professionals and pet owners in the Adriatic, Bulgaria & Romania. Your mission is to strengthen trust in Purina through credible communication, knowledge sharing, and collaboration with Key Opinion Leaders across the region.

 

A day in the life of a Veterinary Scientific Affairs Manager 

  • Build and implement the veterinary Key Opinion Leader strategy for the ABR region.
  • Develop and manage a strong network of KOLs, universities, and professional associations.
  • Drive Purina Institute initiatives and manage local activation of scientific programs (lectures, workshops, symposia, webinars).
  • Act as internal and external spokesperson on veterinary and nutrition topics.
  • Provide scientific and technical support for launches, care-lines, and commercial initiatives.
  • Translate complex science into impactful messages and materials in cooperation with marketing and cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure the roll-out and continuous update of our Vet Center digital platform in ABR region.
  • Contribute to research initiatives, case studies, and publications in collaboration with KOLs and veterinary institutions.
  • Represent Purina in scientific events, media appearances, and professional gatherings.

 

What will make you successful?

  • Degree in Veterinary Medicine or Pharmacy (PhD in Nutrition is a strong advantage).
  • 5–10 years of practical experience in pet food, clinical research, or veterinary medicine.
  • Experience in building advocacy and partnerships with KOLs, associations, and scientific bodies.
  • Proven record in scientific communication (lectures, articles, publications, clinical trials).
  • Strong presentation, storytelling, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, clinical diagnostics, and research methods.
  • Team player with a collaborative spirit and curiosity to learn.
  • Driving license (Category B) and readiness to travel across the region.
