Factory Hygienist
Position Summary
The role is responsible for leading the factory’s effective and efficient implementation of essential Prerequisite Programs (PRPs) and other food safety requirements. This position drives strong execution of cleaning and hygiene standards across the site, ensuring alignment with regulatory, customer, and internal requirements. The role provides hands-on training, coaching, and guidance to key stakeholders to embed food safety best practices, continuously improve hygiene performance, and foster a strong food safety culture within the factory.
A day in the life
- Own and drive the effective implementation, verification, and continuous improvement of Prerequisite Programs (PRPs) to ensure zero defects in food safety, hygiene, and cleaning performance.
- Define, deploy, and maintain site-specific procedures, instructions, and tools related to PRPs, hygiene, and Nestlé Good Management Practices (NGMP).
- Build food safety capability and quality awareness across the factory through targeted training, coaching, and development of QA specialists and technicians.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for PRP deviations, incidents, and near misses, proactively managing risks and escalating when required.
- Coordinate audits, verifications, and validations to ensure full compliance with Nestlé Food Safety Management System requirements and timely gap closure.
- Partner with Operations, Engineering, and contractors to implement hygiene engineering, pathogen monitoring, 5S/SDCA routines, and food safety risk assessments related to change, shutdowns, and CAPEX.

- Cross‑functional Collaboration & Execution – Strong collaboration with Operations, Engineering, and external contractors to drive hygiene engineering, change management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
