An excellent opportunity currently exists for a Laboratory Analyst to join the QA team in our Blayney Factory. In this role, the Lab Analysts will provide professional support by performing and timely communicating the necessary quality tests and analyses required for product safety and quality. (E.g. physical, chemical, microbiological, sensory, net content control methods for products, intermediate products, raw materials, packaging).
A day in the life…
Reporting to the Lab & Compliance Manager, key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Define and update the Laboratory instructions and tools which are directly related to their analyses and tests.
- Responsible for Raw materials and finished product monitoring programmes.
- Perform required analyses according to standard procedures and work instructions.
- Responsible for the internal control plan of the equipment under their responsibility including calibration & servicing.
- Responsible for interpreting results and for reproducibility and repeatability of analyses
- Prepare & dispatch samples to Nestlé Quality Assurance Centre (NQAC) & external labs
- Timely reporting of consolidated results and trends to the functions concerned.
- Reporting of abnormalities via notification of quality deviations and take immediate corrections.
- Train operators and other technicians in performing simple analyses and tests related to their working area (as needed).
What will make you successful
- Joining a collaborative team of specialists, you will be a strong team player with a drive to deliver quality outcomes.
- Tertiary qualification in Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Technology or a related field of study.
- Previous experience in another laboratory or analytical environment is an added advantage.
- Strong computer skills with primary focus on Excel, Word, Outlook and SAP.
- Be able to coordinate with people.
- Attention to detail and strong communication skills.
