Maintenance Fitter - Engineering
Location: Blayney Factory | Permanent
The Opportunity
Nestlé Purina has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join the Engineering Team at the Blayney Factory. Reporting to the Maintenance Engineer, you will maintain key manufacturing equipment and provide technical assistance within the Maintenance and Production environments. This role will be responsible for the support of machinery breakdowns and planned maintenance activities, as well as working with operations and other key stakeholders to improve equipment reliability within the plant.
Job responsibilities:
- Execute planned maintenance schedules
- Required to work on shift rotation.
- Demonstrated ability to identify root cause of equipment issues using fault finding and problem-solving techniques
- Line set-up and maintenance activities
- Equipment shutdown maintenance
- Participate in maintenance and equipment improvement activities
The successful candidate should have:
- Trade certified
- Be confined space and working at heights trained or willing & able to work at heights and in confined spaces when required
- Knowledge of HACCP & GMP
- Demonstrated ability to show initiative, be well organised, self-motivated, and self-reliant
- Possess high work standards and the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Display a professional approach to the Continuous Improvement Process
- Genuine team player
- Experience in a high speed, continuous operating manufacturing environment is preferred
- Experience with Prometheus, or similar CMMS application, and TPM would be an advantage
